Yes I know it's only Thursday, but a girl has to have something to look forward to. ^_^

The never-ending feeling of exhaustion has finally passed. I'm still sleepy, but not so weary that I can't bring myself to do more than the basic requirements of my job anymore. This is good since I have a stack of reports to bang out. Thank goodness this is only once a year. The even nicer part is that from early Sept till January work will be 'easy'. More paperwork true, but it's basic orders instead of freaky GL reports and asset files. Ugh.

I'm going to attempt to get all the little/annoying jobs done around the house this weekend. Since both Barry and I are taking a mini-staycation next weekend I want to spend time with him instead of cleaning. We're planning on hitting Beaufort on Friday for shrimp burgers. Yeah, it's far to go for food, but damn it's worth it! Past that we have no plans, which suits me fine. I might drag him out for fondue one night as well.

I have an interview with AC Moore tomorrow. It's at 1pm, which means it's not late enough to leave work early. Boo. I'll have to take a long lunch and come back. I'll let ya'll know something as soon as I do. I'm putting a little too much hope into whatever PT job I get. After all, it's paying for Katsucon and the wedding/honeymoon. If I can eek out $1400 after taxes for the entire stint I'll be happy.

Speaking of the honeymoon, I went poking around the net for Orlando tickets. If all goes well we'll be able to use M&D's time share for our hotel. It'll cost us $150 for an entire week. Sweet! The room is basic, but it has a kitchen so we'll save a bit of money. I found a site called Orlando Fun Tickets that offers a 7 day Universal/Islands of Adventure pass for $110. Honestly, I'd be happy going to Universal and not Disney if anything because of the price. Yikes!! Anyway, we'll also end up getting Halloween Horror Nights tickets as well. Shoot, it's the reason we're getting married in October! We'll also get a few days worth of food passes since $50 a day to eat is reasonable in my book. Now I just have to save up for it. >_<

Man I could so go home right now...

I have an interview tomorrow too! Though mine is at 10:40AM so I'm taking an early and long lunch. Mine is with my GYN office...which will be a little weird at first but I think I'll get over it.

Yeah, but you need to get out of that crazy job of yours. They're going to run themselves into the ground.
*crosses fingers for you* Good luck! ^_^

Good luck with the interview! I would love to work at a craft store, at least until I got tired of looking at the items carried in a big box craft store. XD

I'm glad you want to go to Universal. It was the awesomest honeymoon for me at least. Hopefully you'll save way more money doing what you're doing though. I can't remember how much we spent, but I know it was a small fortune considering we went through Universal and did a package deal. When I go back (Harry Potter land, woot!) I'll definitely go the more frugal route.

I'm hoping to get into the framing dept. That would be sooooo sweet!

Their website says it opens in '09, but it really isn't until '10. Liars!! I got all excited for a minute thinking that we'd be able to go see HP. Damn.

Really? Late '09 is what I had heard too. Guess they pushed it back. I hope everyone doesn't get the idea to push HP media back. First the movie, now the park. I wanna buy a copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard for Christmas, not my birthday. :P

Ah well, at least I'll be able to see the promo stuff that'll be up by then.

If you go to Universal, make sure you get the ride passes x.x My friend and I went to Orlando for a couple days last summer (spent two days at Disney, one at Universal) and after being there for like 4 hours and only going on three rides because of the lines, we caved and got the passes... SOOOO much better. **nodnod** We had a blast the rest of the day--just wish we would've gotten them when we walked in since we still didn't end up hitting everything :/ I was also a little miffed because I didn't get a chance to hit up the Nicktoons store when we went because we ran out of time u.u

We thought about the passes, but decided (at this point) not to because 1) We'll be at Uni for at least 4 days, 2) We're going during the week at the end of October. Things should be fairly mellow while we're there, but the passes will be in the budget just in case. ^_^

Hah, we went in the middle of the week in the middle of the summer (which summer + Florida = freakin hot x.x), we weren't expecting it to be as crazy as it was. But yeah, being that you'll be there for a few days, I can understand not wanting to get them now. Just something you'll have to decide on when you get there ;)

You'd have to pay me to go to FL in the summer.
Since we're splurging to go to Halloween Horror Nights we'll probably skip the passes no matter how busy it is. I love a good scare. ^_^

1) Don't worry about ride passes, just show up early and get on the popular stuff first. (Like you already said, it'll be October, and things don't get crazy down there till mid-November.)

2) Damn you for doing Halloween Horror Nights before me. ;_;

3) Pity you won't wait till January when I go back to Disney cause then I could get you in for free. =p

4) Double check the company with the BBB. I've heard of *A LOT* of ticket scams.

5) $50 a day at a park is *nothing*, but you could also pay less. Depends on what you want to eat, and when. Though I know at Disney, that the meal plan is a *very* good deal if you consider that you can go to the *sit down* restaurants on it.

Free you say? You have my attention. ^_^ We take separate vaca's fairly often. B doesn't like Disney, but I dig it. Shoot, I own stock in the company. I'm required to like it. lol!

They have a 'satisfactory' with the BBB, but they've only been listed since April 2007. However, 2 complaints in over a year isn't a bad amount.

Wow, seriously? I'm for the meal plan then. I like not having to worry about bringing enough cash for food AND the shops.

Provided I get my internship (which I probably will), and considering my family probably won't go (cause their sad and broke), I'll be sitting on 5-6 days worth of 5-6 people a piece passes. Plus I get discounts on virtually everything park related, and some non-Disney related stuff. (Disney Employees get priority seating at Planet Hollywood @ Downtown Disney, and that's not the only place.)

Read the complaints if you can, I know for a fact (because we tried) you can't file a complaint with the BBB for a business that isn't based in your state.

Disney is like 3 meals a day, with atleast 1 being for the reservation-only restaurants, plus you get atleast 1 snack. So, 3 meals plus a snack, and I think it's less than $50 a day, and it's for *park* food.

Universal might be running something different, but it should be a very similar deal.

Boo to your family. It's such a great opportunity! I hope you get it. ^_^

I can't read the complaints, but the resolutions were listed. One was resolved, the other was voted in favor of the website. I'll keep an eye on them over the months. I still have aaaages to plan the honeymoon.

Cool! That's a lot of food. The Universal meal ticket is for only 2 meals, but you get to go through the line as much as you want. Now, is Disney $50 for one person? I ask because the $50 I listed in my post was for both B and myself. The tickets are $25 each.

No, Disney isn't $50 a person, I think it's more like $35, but considering what you get it's nothing.

Though I'll definitely look at the Universal meal plan when I go back because I'd love to do that.

Then that's an AMAZING deal. I can't eat out normally for $35 a day.

It looks like a good price if you're a full meal eater like me. My co-worker did it and she said it wasn't worth it, but she eats a yogurt and an apple for lunch. Big difference.

Don't quote me, but I'm certain that's about the right price. And I know from experience that eating in the park can cost you $10 a meal *easy*.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like that much food to me because I try not to eat heavy meals and just snack throughout the day. But I'd probably just snag some stuff and stow it away until later. ^_~

I'm hoping that on my next venture down there I'll get to do Universal, 1 new water park, a beach, and atleast 1 Dixie Stampede type place.

I'm hoping to get to the Pirate Adventure dinner theater. It looks really good. That or Arabian Knights. I've been to Medieval Times already.

I haven't been to the beach in ages, which is sad since I'm maybe 30 minutes away from a few decent ones. I guess when you live near the coast the beach loses it's exotic flavor after a while.

I heard that they aren't that great and that the food isn't that good, but I have heard that Dixie Stampede is the best by someone who used to work there, so that's my reason for trying them.

Though I love Medieval Times & Arabian Knights.
