Weekend plans

Yes I know it's only Thursday, but a girl has to have something to look forward to. ^_^
The never-ending feeling of exhaustion has finally passed. I'm still sleepy, but not so weary that I can't bring myself to do more than the basic requirements of my job anymore. This is good since I have a stack of reports to bang out. Thank goodness this is only once a year. The even nicer part is that from early Sept till January work will be 'easy'. More paperwork true, but it's basic orders instead of freaky GL reports and asset files. Ugh.
I'm going to attempt to get all the little/annoying jobs done around the house this weekend. Since both Barry and I are taking a mini-staycation next weekend I want to spend time with him instead of cleaning. We're planning on hitting Beaufort on Friday for shrimp burgers. Yeah, it's far to go for food, but damn it's worth it! Past that we have no plans, which suits me fine. I might drag him out for fondue one night as well.
I have an interview with AC Moore tomorrow. It's at 1pm, which means it's not late enough to leave work early. Boo. I'll have to take a long lunch and come back. I'll let ya'll know something as soon as I do. I'm putting a little too much hope into whatever PT job I get. After all, it's paying for Katsucon and the wedding/honeymoon. If I can eek out $1400 after taxes for the entire stint I'll be happy.
Speaking of the honeymoon, I went poking around the net for Orlando tickets. If all goes well we'll be able to use M&D's time share for our hotel. It'll cost us $150 for an entire week. Sweet! The room is basic, but it has a kitchen so we'll save a bit of money. I found a site called Orlando Fun Tickets that offers a 7 day Universal/Islands of Adventure pass for $110. Honestly, I'd be happy going to Universal and not Disney if anything because of the price. Yikes!! Anyway, we'll also end up getting Halloween Horror Nights tickets as well. Shoot, it's the reason we're getting married in October! We'll also get a few days worth of food passes since $50 a day to eat is reasonable in my book. Now I just have to save up for it. >_<
Man I could so go home right now...

Date: 2008-08-21 02:16 pm (UTC)I'm glad you want to go to Universal. It was the awesomest honeymoon for me at least. Hopefully you'll save way more money doing what you're doing though. I can't remember how much we spent, but I know it was a small fortune considering we went through Universal and did a package deal. When I go back (Harry Potter land, woot!) I'll definitely go the more frugal route.

Date: 2008-08-21 07:59 pm (UTC)2) Damn you for doing Halloween Horror Nights before me. ;_;
3) Pity you won't wait till January when I go back to Disney cause then I could get you in for free. =p
4) Double check the company with the BBB. I've heard of *A LOT* of ticket scams.
5) $50 a day at a park is *nothing*, but you could also pay less. Depends on what you want to eat, and when. Though I know at Disney, that the meal plan is a *very* good deal if you consider that you can go to the *sit down* restaurants on it.
