Well, it's big for me.

I'm going to sell off a majority of my Sailor Moon collection.

*takes deep breaths* Yeah, I'm not too excited about it, however I haven't kept up with the fandom at all. Honestly, I think I love the idea of Sailormoon more than anything else. The stuff...it's just stuff. It doesn't hold the same appeal/fascination that it used to.

On the chopping block (everything is out of box):
Beauty Change Outer Dolls
Beauty Change Fighter
SuperS Pegasus Globe (missing ChibiUsa, but with box)
Bandai USA 'Scene' doll of Princess Serenity (with arch and setting card)
Bandai USA 'Scene' doll of Usagi in her pajamas (with bed and setting card)
Mini wall scroll
SuperS IRC Inners Henshi wand with necklace
Stars Yelling Star
Gashapon sets (1 & 5 are HK, therefore crap. However, 2-4 are originals and complete)
Stars keychains (Maker, Healer, Fighter, and Uranus)
Various laminated posters
Tin Boxes

Really the only things I'm keeping are my Bandai USA wand and locket, my Bandai 6 inch dolls, and the manga. Essentially I'm going back to what I started with. It's kind of sad, but I think it's also a good thing. I'm going to hit up [livejournal.com profile] smcollector for pricing help. I'd rather not put anything on ebay if I can help it...

I bought all of my dolls myself. My mom didn't really...approve of toys. -_-;

Heh, I think I was 10-11 when Sailor Moon started here, so I didn't really have any money outside of my allowance to put toward things, so my mom had most say. She put a stop to it a couple years after it started, saying it was just a phase... "What are you going to do with all this crap when you grow out of it? A couple years down the road, you won't even be into this and you'll have all this stuff you won't know what to do with." **chuckles** Just a phase... 12-13 years later, still just a phase? XD

Mom felt the same way. I think I'm still in that phase, but I'm changing what I want. I'm going to make my own dolls for display and learn to paint garage kits. I always liked the legit dolls, but it always seemed like there was something missing.

Hehe, if it is just a phase, its a really long phase. ;) My interests in various items haven't really changed much, its just the importance of obtaining new items goes up and down. When I first got into Sailor Moon, I was big into dolls and trading cards. And now, hah, most of what I've been buying over the last month is dolls and trading cards. XD I mean, I've always been interested in various other things I see, like bags, shirts, etc. but it all depends on how it looks and, for some items, if I can use it. I can't stand having usable items just sit on display (like pencils and stickers and such). I picked up a package of pencils a few years ago and have some of them in my pencil box to use (they're soft lead though so I don't use them often, but I do use them), and I have my hair ties and clips that my sister got me for Xmas a few years ago--I wear one of the clips every single day (and get comments on it frequently, "OMG you have Sailor Moon in your hair!" XD). I also have a really nifty backpack coming that will probably end up being my new purse (well, maybe.. I am very fond of my catster bag...).
I would like to pick up some of those [insert doll name here] dolls that people carry around at cons and such (especially in the loli crowd) and make them into Sailor Moon characters (oooo I'd love to make a collection of villains). That would be an expensive project though, and would take some time. I think for right now, I'll stick to my planned cosplays and my Artist Alley tables. ^^*

Okay, anyway speaking of money..
How quickly would you like to be paid in full for the items? Here's what I'm thinking, let me know what you think. (Btw I can pay in either check or paypal, whichever you prefer.)
This week I should be getting paid for my book cover, which when I get paid for that I can send you $100 straight up. Now I get paid at work every two weeks (unsure if I get paid this Friday or next, they're changing the pay schedule this month), and if you're cool with this, I can send you at least $50 every paycheck until its paid off. Granted it will take a couple months before its completely paid off, but this way I can do it steady without having to try and save (which I'm bad at and it would probably take me longer to do it this way, unless I make constant transfers to paypal and send you one big lump when its all done ^^*) and obviously you don't have to send me anything until its completely paid off (will save on shipping that way too). If its okay to do things this way, then I will add the Yelling Star to my pile for sure. ^^

I can do either paypal or checks. I don't mind payments either. ^_^

It's a shame we don't go to the same cons. It would save on shipping.

Just to make sure we're on the same page...
Beauty Change dolls - 5 for $200
Dream Pocket dolls - 2 for $50
Yelling Star - $50
Keychains - 3 for $15
Set#4 of Gashapon - $50
Set #1 and #5 of Gashapon - free
Wall Scroll - free

That's $365 without shipping. We'll figure that part out later. ^_^

**nods with eyes glazed over**
Yeah it is too bad. Curse living 10+ hours away! XD We have plenty of time to figure out shipping though ^^* Thank you so much for working with me on this!! ^^ I think I'll go through paypal then (that way I can pretend to pay down my credit card balance at the same time XD) I'll let you know when I get money to send you, and I'll get your paypal addy then (if I get it earlier, I fear I may lose it o.o)

Heh, I get that feeling every time I have to pay the rent.

I think you'd like Katsucon in DC. I always have a good time. ^_^

Okies. Let me know when you're ready for it.

**wonders how far Katsucon would be from here** much further than Acen I'm sure... x.x

Probably. I used to fly up, but now I take the overnight train. It's going to be soooo much cheaper. $175 vs. $400+

Heh, still can't afford it ^^* I think we got to Acen and back on just over 2 tanks of gas, so maybe a total of about $70? And with that, I was relying on Artist Alley profit to get me home ^^* I had like no money left when we actually got to the con ^^*

I know the feeling. I always thought cons would be easier to do when I got older...as in richer. Yeah, not so much. Bah!

Yeah I wish they were easier... Acen ended up being actually a bit easier this year because I was in Artist Alley (even though I was FREAKING out the month before the con because I had no monies and thought I wasn't going to make enough money in the alley to eat/get home), but prep for it was a nightmare ^^* I think after Acen next year, I'm going to take a break from the alley so I'm not so pressured to cram a bunch of stuff into just a couple months.. I'll be able to take my time and prepare for a fantastically awesome table (and maybe actually start saving some money XD)

That sounds like a good idea. It takes money to make money after all.
