Big decision

Well, it's big for me.

I'm going to sell off a majority of my Sailor Moon collection.

*takes deep breaths* Yeah, I'm not too excited about it, however I haven't kept up with the fandom at all. Honestly, I think I love the idea of Sailormoon more than anything else. The stuff...it's just stuff. It doesn't hold the same appeal/fascination that it used to.

On the chopping block (everything is out of box):

SuperS Pegasus Globe (missing ChibiUsa, but with box)
Bandai USA 'Scene' doll of Princess Serenity (with arch and setting card)

Gashapon sets (1 & 5 are HK, therefore crap. However, 2-4 are originals and complete)

Really the only things I'm keeping are my Bandai USA wand and locket, my Bandai 6 inch dolls, and the manga. Essentially I'm going back to what I started with. It's kind of sad, but I think it's also a good thing. I'm going to hit up smcollector for pricing help. I'd rather not put anything on ebay if I can help it...

I believe there are people over on serasell that are looking for the Beauty Change Dolls. The dolls tend to go fast there. (That's where I sold all of mine.)

*cough* Sorry got a little excited. Can you post pics? ;) 99% of my stuff is all out of box, so thats great that your stuff is too XD (If you're willing to work with me over my next few paychecks after you figure out how much you want for everything, I could probably buy the lot off you ^^)

I know what you mean about loving the idea of something though. I kinda feel that way about anime in general. I no longer feel the need to keep up with every single series I possibly can and pay attention to anything that gets licensed here in America. For one, the industry has gotten too large, but for two I just don't have the time or drive (I only follow the Naruto sub now). So much has changed in the past 10+ years.

I guess it would help if SM was still running or if you were still in high school. So many things were just more fun in high school. (Oh, to be innocent again...) At least no one says you have to have every doll under the sun to be a fan. :P

The only thing there might be a fight over are the gashapon. A friend here said that if I ever sold them I had to talk to her first. I'll keep you posted.

Okay. My main focus is the dolls/Stars stuffs.. Posters I'm fairly indifferent on--depending on what you have. ;) In terms of the gashapon sets, what do you mean by 1&5 are "HK"?

HK means Hong Kong bootleg. They're not the originals.
I have the sets that haven't been bootlegged. They generally go for $30-$50 a set. I want to check with smcollector before setting prices though. I'd hate to gouge someone.

Its sad that you decided to sell off most of your collection.. (though I can't say I'm not a tiny bit geeked myself, as I've been going nutso recently expanding mine, so hopefully I'll get a good bit of awesome from you ^^*)

They look very good or else I wouldn't have gotten them. ^_^ I'm picky. They need a little reshaping from being packed up, but it's nothing a hair dryer on low won't fix.

Holy crap! And Travis looks at me funny when I tell him rare brand name lolita dresses can go for over $400, lol. That doll is really gorgeous though. It would be quite a catch.

I've thought about making my own. Get a good porcelain body, style the hair, and make the dress. The dress would be the hard part, but totally worth it.
