morganskyePlease notice I used "quotes" around "famous". Anyway, I got an email from a con I've been asked/offered to attend as a panelist and judge. I'm sure the email was fairly standard and I'm reading waaaaay too much into it. The Sender was asking about my travel plans, need for a hotel room, and my green room requests.
I've never been asked this before. I've never thought of myself as anything more than a Special Con Attendee. The thought of being an actual Guest doesn't occur to me until something amazing happens. Example, I was in between panels as Nashi last year when Lauren gave me a fantastic gift basket. I had warm fuzzies all freaking day! :D
So this email really got my ego inflated. No I didn't ask for a bowl full of green M&M's or anything else equally interesting (just some fresh fruit). Honestly just the fact that someone cared enough to ask if I needed anything is enough for me. What can I say? I'm a cheap date. ^_^
