This weekend was fairly productive. I made more soap for the holidays, and will be able 1/2 way through after I wrap the stuff I did last night. I also applied to a few more places. Still no calls from the last batch. >_<

I finished the main quest for Oblivion. It was surprisingly easy to do. I guess it helps that I waited till I was level 31. lol! Now I'm going through and doing the guild missions. When I'm finished with that I'll probably stop playing. I still have quite a bit of time left in the game though. I haven't done any fighters quests, barely touches the mages guild, and am only 1/2 way through the Dark Brotherhood. The Thieves Guild stuff was done ages ago.

I'll be putting up my Halloween decorations up soon. Other neighbors beat me to it! That's a rarity.

I've started looking for wedding bands, just to have one more thing out of the way. Ugh! Why is it so hard to find simple silver bands? There are a few that I've found that are really generic rings (which is fine), but they're too thick for my taste. I want something thin. The engagement ring B got me is perfect. Although, I don't plan on wearing my engagement ring after we get married, but that's not set in stone.

Part of me wants the wedding to get here NOW, but I also have to remember that the journey is part of the fun. That and I'll be dead broke till after Christmas. lol!!

We got our rings at Kay Jeweler.

I don't wear yellow gold so my main goal in ring-shopping was something that was silver colored. And I wanted something on the cheaper end of things in case something should happen and we need to get a ring cut off a finger. (That happened to my dad when I was younger...I didn't want to spend a ton of money for something that might be in two pieces at some point.)

I always liked titanium bands. Simple and almost indestructible. :)

Umm, some of the bands I looked at, were around $150. I thought that was pretty afforable.

http://www.titaniumrings.com/ They have some starting from $79 that we simple design.

Hmm, that's not too bad. We wanted to stay within a budget of $70 per ring since we're paying for almost everything for the wedding on our own.

Cool. ^_^
We're both easy. 2mm for me, 3-4mm for him. Anything but yellow gold, and engraving would be nice but not necessary. Below $70 per ring, the lower the better. Thanks!

Btw, I've been trying to read your story. It's good, but it needs editing work. I also think that changing it from 1st person to 3rd would help the flow a lot.

Your wish is my command -

Less then half of what you requested in price. :)

Feel free to show me where to edit. I always thought running the story from 1st person would make it more personal.

Sweet! I'll send it on to Barry and see what he thinks.

I'll go over it again tonight. Some are minor grammar/spelling mistakes, which I can fix. The rest will be a little more in depth. While I agree that 1st person is more intimate, it can make for jerky reading when there's a lot of it. You might want to think about breaking it into smaller chapters. That way you can have an important scenes in 1st person, then change the rest into 3rd so your reader doesn't get swamped.

*nods* Sounds good. I'll look into your suggestions.

I never thought the story would have stretched to 40+ pages.

Chapters will help. It will also give people stopping points, which oddly enough encourages them to keep reading. We've all thought at one time or another "Just one more chapter!".

I never thought of that when I write, because I never know where to put a chapter break in it.

Every 5-7 pages is a good rule of thumb, unless it breaks up a major scene. I'll put in some markers for you.

Oh, I forgot to mention.

I know this has been on the net for awhile, but I just heard about it and thought it was great.

www.drhorrible.com - It's done by Joss Whedon

I love listening to the songs and watching it. :)

I saw it a while ago. Everyone in the nation should be required to see it. I hear there's another one in the works.

Todd and I got white gold bands through USAA's jewelry branch. Unfortunately, you have to be a member to apparently look at their products. Oi.

Still! White Gold looks like silver, so if you are having trouble finding one, you can search for the other. (Personally, I hate the look of yellow gold on myself, so most of my jewelry is silver or white gold.)

Ditto. I have very little gold jewelry, and all of it was gifts from others.

My engagement ring is white gold. It doesn't matter to me if it's silver, white gold, or heck, even titanium. I don't want yellow gold. Not much to ask, right?

I majorly suck at Oblivion; hmm, maybe I will try that 'leveling-up-as-high-as-i-can'. Chances are, I'll still suck! xD

It gets away easier, trust me. One leveling trick: You can use a trainer once per level to up any one of your skills by 5 points. However, until you max out, ONLY use a trainer for your top skills (the ones that you actually level with). I learned that too late, and will probably never max out because I can't seem to up my Speechcraft on my own. >_< D'oh!

There's also Oblivion Wiki (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Oblivion), which is priceless.
