Soooo fullll

Went to Ryan's Steakhouse (but it's really a buffet) for lunch today. Sat down to read the tail end of 'The Devil Wears Prada' and got up stuffed. Happy with the meal, but a little disappointed with the book. There wasn't enough bitch in it. It's like Miranda (the devil-lady) didn't make Andrea's life hellish enough. Eh, they'll probably beef it up in the movie. The only part I really liked (no spoiler) is that she got to keep all the clothes she was told to 'borrow' and sold nearly everything for almost $40k. Damn! Make me an assistant!!

I have to go back to Lowes tonight. Don't wanna!! *pout*

I need to cut back on my manga budget. I have about 8 sitting on my bookshelf upstairs, and another 4 on their way. That's money I should either be putting to bills or to D*con. Or at least I should stop picking up new titles and finish the series that I dropped ages ago due to sever money issues. I also need to see if those beanie babies Mom got for me years ago are worth something. I think she kept buying them for the hell of it. I'm sure she realized I didn't really care all that much. Although, they are cute...

I have a day off next Wednesday. I know it's strange to have Wed off, but I was supposed to go to NC with Mom. Due to Lowes being an ass I have to work that night and therefore can't go. However, I'm still going to stay home from SEG and enjoy a day with no real responcibility. I say that now, but I'm already building a 'to do' list, like hooking up Barry's computer and figuring out how to cram more stuff under the bed. I also want to try and get my sewing machine out from storage, assuming I can find it. I have so many things that need to be fixed like my bed spread and dust ruffle. I just want to get things back in order...*grumble*

Oooh..buffet for lunch! Mmmm..steak. I'm not too good at buffets. I usually pile up the first plate and then the second plate I kind of struggle through..then I'm all about the desserts!!! Ahhh, I want some chocolate cake so bad.

Thanks for confirming my bias against the Devil Wears Prada..there's something about the book that makes me not want to read it..and that's saying a lot because I read chick lit like crazy!

Heh, I actually ate dessert today. I usually don't. I was so bad!

I think I would have enjoyed it more if I didn't spend $15 for it. If it was a pick-up from the local trade-a-book I wouldn't have cared. I think I bought it for the title. *sheepish grin*

Awww.. you paid full price for the book? That's a lot of pressure to like something. I rarely buy books full price because I'm a cheap ass. The only exceptions are HP and Lemony Snicket (and I get them when they first come out so they are on sale). :)

It was a spur of the moment buy. I don't usually do those because they generally bite me in the ass, so this is another example I can use. ^_^
