Blargh!!

Ok, as much as I'd love to say 'I'm going to work at Lowes till all my bills are paid!' that's not going to happen. Why? Example...My schedule currently: 6 to close Wed-Fri. Off Sat (omg!), 4:30-6:30 Sun (2 hours?!), 6 to close Mon-Wed and Friday. Which means I have one day real day off and one evening off in a 9 day stretch. WTF?!?!

In order to save my sanity (and not feel like a total loser) I'm dropping the date-based bill payoffs and am now just going to have certain bills paid before I leave. I realised that my bill schedule was unrealistic since 1) I'm going to D*con this year, 2) Something always freaking happens when I get spare cash, 3) I didn't plan in money for b-days, anni's, and other gift-giving holidays. So I'm just going to tell myself 'Yah, you could buy that manga, or you could pay off *blank* and stop working so freaking much'.

The LIST!!
Capital One $1250.00
Household Bank $660.00
Roper Hospital $700.00
Firestone Tires $300.00
plus various interest $3000.00

I'll have an extra $200 a month going to bills along with the slight overpayment I'm doing now. I figure in about a year I'll be done. Probably sooner since I have a b-day and xmas coming up. I usually get cash instead of presents (woot!) so that'll help too.

Speaking of D*con, I've decided to concentrate on one costume instead of 3 as I had planned. Jessica is out the door. I couldn't pull her off right now anyway. Pepper is on the back burner since I can't find the fabric I want. This leaves Birdgirl. I already have the fabric for her suit. I'm just wondering how I should do the leggings. They don't make yellow in my size, plus I have those freaky red boots to worry about. Should I just make some leggings and sew the boots right onto them? Or should I make *shudder* stirrup pants and make the boots seperate? *ponder*

Not sure what the leggings/boots look like, but boots attached to leggings would probably be easiest, especially if boot fall-downage is a potential problem.

I was thinking the same thing, I'm just worried about it looking too fake...I could put a fake top on the boots and have them attach to the leggings a few inches down instead. There are super-thin black stripes that go around the top 6 inches of the boots. That would hide the seam perfectly.

Heh, why is it easier to figure things out when you're talking to someone?

I had a dark blue pair. I wore them once. They were so 80's!
