Can't trust this day...

Anyhoo, the weekend went quickly. While I did have to work at Lowes both of my shifts were early enough that I could pretend that I had time off. I didn't really get much done, beyond going to Walmart and buying shirts for my iron-on project. I need a new ota-dork wardrobe for Katsu after all. ^_^

This week will be interesting. Since there's no Lowes again till Satuday I'll probably end up working a little later at SEG, then running off to the gym, then back home to freak out about all the things I need to get done in the next two weeks. I have plushie ideas to butcher, an mp3 case to make *pleading look to [livejournal.com profile] missmalade*, shirts to make, and much more. Funny this is I like being busy. Barry jokes that if I wasn't dating him I'd have a third job. This is quite true!

I'm thinking about getting a hampster or some other furry creature when we move to the apartment. I wanted a cat, but it would be cruel to keep him/her inside all the time. I've had guinea pigs for many years so at least I know what I'm doing. Then again, I don't know if I'm ready for pets again. Bah.

And that's all the news that's fit to type. 18 days to go!

I guess I can pass the legacy onto you then because our hamster died last Thursday. T__T She lived a very full life; she was almost 2 years old. Just remember that they have only a 1-2 year life expectancy and you'll do just fine.

We'll probably get a dog or cat this summer when I'll be at home more. Until then, no pet in the house. =/

Yah, which is why I'm kind of hedging on what to get. Bah.

I'm sorry to hear the hamster died. It's a shame they don't live longer.

Meow! ^_^

How did you make your ipod case? Mine's not quite an ipod, but it's close. I could really use some pointer! *begs*

Well, I made a pattern out of newspaper and used material that was easy to manipulate (felt is easy..foam sheets notsomuch). I cut the material larger than the pattern and trimmed if necessary. :)

What about using fleece? I have some from my failed plushie project (I was going to make you a Beastboy. -_-;), but I'm thinking it might not be sturdy enough. What do you think?

OMG a Beastboy? Awesome!

If you're using fleece, I don't think you can cut out the holes to see the screen and press the buttons? It'd be a sleeve, which isn't bad either.

I'm going to try again. Rumor has it there's a plushie class at Katsu. *crosses fingers*

I'm not terribly worried about cutting holes. It's smaller than an ipod, so there wouldn't be much left if I put any in.

Also, fleece is a thinner than felt, so it'll get dirtier and more pilly faster.

That's true. Besides, I'm not looking to keep it warm, just clean. ^_^

My first experiment is up on lj. Check out my latest post. It's pretty crappy, but it's a start.
