Random weekend stuff

morganskyeFriday started out productive. I got up earlyish, started the laundry, then went out to wash my car at the local WIZARD WASH!!! *lightning crackles and thunder claps* Yeah, my car hadn't been washed in so long. I last took my car to one of those 'soft touch' car washes. You know, where it looks like a multi-colored Sweetums is molesting your windshield? Or a lot of Fry-kids...anyway, I did that a few weeks ago and it didn't do anything because the dirt was so caked on. Daaaaang. So now my baby is mostly shiny. The spots I missed are very obvious, but whatever. It's better than before. And the stuck-on bird poop that was all over my hood? Yeah, those are rust spots. >_< I'll be getting some touch up paint soon.
The rest of the day I did basic cleaning. Laundry, vacuum, dust, etc. That night we went to Jim and Roxanne's place for food and fireworks. It was nice to see the 'extended' family. They're in-laws of the in-laws. lol!
Saturday was mellow. I met up with Claudia from the WolfPack for lunch. She's a nice girl. Later Barry and I went to 'There Be Books' in Summerville to game a bit. It was nice to get out and meet new people.
Sunday was, again, mellow. First off we went to M&D's to drop off flooring samples (Mom wants hardwood in the kitchen), then we went to see Hancock. OMG it was terrific!! Honestly, I don't know why people said that it's a comedy. It's not. It's an action drama with funny parts. The ads tell you NOTHING. lord_darkseid was right to compare it to Astro City. Which, btw, if you haven't read then you're cheating yourself. There's a reason it takes ages for new issues! Anyway, it's much better than I had hoped for, and I think most of you reading this would enjoy it.
After the movie we hit GameStop where I talked to the manager about doing an in-store for the Ghostbusters game. Our final stop was Michael's. I got some 'spooky' glass bottles from the Halloween section. Think 'Eye of Newt' and 'Wing of Bat'. I also found out that Michael's hires their seasonal help a month before AC Moore. Good to know. ^_^
