The sale is going well, even though its pretty much finished now. I'll probably do another run through this weekend. I was surprised at the responce. I got rid of nearly all my cards (although no supplies went), and most of my toys. The cds were barely touched, and only 3 manga went. Gee, I wasn't alone in disliking them! Most of them are leftovers from when I was working at the Dragon and buying up everything anime I laid my eyes on. Ah well, I still can't complain since I sold more than expected, even though I haven't heard from a few people who reserved stuff...*eyes
alyssachan and
zaku_zwitter (if you need more time just say so!) Thank you
aarana!! I'm so glad the SM cards are going to a loving home!
Now that more storage boxes are eliminated, and more shelf space made, part of me wants to spend my earning patching the holes in my manga collection. Sadly, this is not to be. I'm paying off a credit card. There's no reason to buy more stuff (not unless I sell more goodies. fat chance!) however I hate not being able to read the end of Futaba-kun because I'm missing book 6. Or being unsure of how Usagi Yojimbo got into his current problem. Or that gap in my Sailormoon manga that screams 'Finish me you bitch!!' *achem* Well, that's what it would yell if it was alive...
Oh! I finished
merryshannon's book last night. It's so good! I like how she didn't overstate how supercool Talon was. That's my biggest peeve. Yes, I know *blank* is terrific, but you don't have to tell me three times per page! Yeesh! Greatness is achived by deeds done, not by how many people flaunt! (I'm looking at you Nora Roberts!!) *happy sigh* Since it's a quiet coolness it leaves the book open for re-reading. And I adore Edrina! I won't say much more in case some of you are still reading, but it's so great! I loved the ending. It didn't feel rushed or drawn-out. The battle scenes were excellent, and the romance scenes weren't slutty or too vague. I can't read 'romance novels' because it usually gets too graphic and takes away from the love. I don't need to know 20 ways to say 'penis'. I already know them all. lol! Point being, it was a great book. I want more!
And finally, I know this is going to sound weird, but I'm in love with my shirt. Not just any shirt, but a Stafford white button-down men's shirt. I've had it for YEARS. It's a very memory-ridden piece of clothing. (warning: TMI coming). I wore it the first night I was with Matt, and then (unwittingly) on the first night with Barry. I think it's rather appropriate that I had it on for the first man and (hopefully) with the last. It smells like clean sheets at a nice hotel. Kind of fresh bleachy. It's so snuggly too. Lately I wear it when I'm feeling down, or randy. lol! Man, I wish I was at home sleeping in it!
