As many of you know, I bitch constantly about good tv shows not getting put out on DVD. Finally I got wind that 2 titles can (at least somewhat) be taken off my whiney list.
Batman Beyond Season One and Justice League Season One are finally out on DVD. Finally.
Now, most of these series have been out in some form or another. BB was mostly on VHS, with a few scant exceptions. Personally I love the BB Movie. Batman uses a gun! *gasp* The same goes for Justice Leauge. In their case they would put out a whole story arch, unlike BB which has mainly freestanding eps. Either way, I'm going to eventually get them both. Hopefully Warner Brothers will keep it up and finish releasing both shows.
I do have to give WB props, although it probably belongs to Bruce Tim. He's the driving force for the DC comics shows. Any fan of Batman Beyond knows that they got shafted. No real ending, underfunded, and ignored till it got cult status. Anyway, he had the balls and pull to get a 'Years Later' episode for our sweet Terry McGinnis in Justice League Unlimited. I won't spoil it, but it's the closest we'll probably get to a real ending. It just barely fit into the time line too. Heh, I'm sure people who hadn't followed BB thought it was a stupid episode but I don't care. I love you Terry!! *swoon*
