My pesismistic side is ruling my day

I had two bits of news today. If I was acting like my normal self I'd be bouncing off the walls with joy. Sadly, this is not the case, but that's probably a good thing.
First, I went for my physical this morning. When I got on the scale Nurse Mary said that I was down to 271, which is astounding since I was 284 two weeks ago. I've also been eating like a pig and was fully expecting to weight more than the previous visit. I'm taking it with a grain of salt and will wait to see what my scale at home says. *crosses fingers*
Second, I decided to try and get an estimate on how much my taxes will bite me this year. For the past few years I've grown to the opinion that so long as I don't owe I'm happy. Anyway, I took my last check stub from Souteastern and plugged in the numbers. According to TaxAct I'll be getting back a hair over $1000. This would be the largest return ever for me. Again, grain of salt. I haven't gotten my Lowes W-2 yet. When I do it will probably reduce the return quite a bit even though I put extra money to taxes with it. *crosses toes*
I'm going down to Archdale to apply for the apartment tomorrow. If I get it I'll be moving in April First. Hopefully we won't get too many jokes...It also turns out that Barry was given a lot of his mom's furniture when she passed on. We're pratically set. All we need now is a sofa and little odds-n-ends. Woot.
