Found out something that really pisses me off. It's a little long, so bare with me. *strips nekkid* Ok, let's begin...
We have this new guy at work. He stared at the end of February. He was hired to work in the warehouse. You know, moving stuff, lifting stuff, etc. Well, Allston, the personal assistant to several of our higher staff, had left just shortly before then. I knew we were looking for her replacement, but I figured we'd bring in an experienced assistant. Do you see where I'm going with this? Yah, the new warehouse guy was put in her position. Apparently he has a graphic arts degree that he failed to list on his resume. Fishy, no? Wait, it gets better. He says he knows computers, and that he's doing the assistant thing before. Yah right. I had to teach him how to use the copier and the fax machine. He also knows dick about computers. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to fix his settings. Needless to say all of us in the office are getting tired. Apparently he shines in front of his 'bosses', but is a stupid prat with the rest of us. *slams head on desk* And here it gets worse...
I have nothing to do with payroll. I tell people that over and over again. I know why I'm not in the loop and I'm glad. I don't want to know what my friends are making. I don't care. They do their job and I do mine. That is until today. One of the bosses called me up this morning and started asking me about the new guy's pay info. Before I can tell him who he needs to talk to he tells me what the new guy is making. I freak (naturally) and tell him never to say that to me again. 'Go talk to (blank), because I can't know that'. Well it's too late and I do know it. The little prick earns the same as me. And I've gotten to this point after a raise! He's getting it right off the back!!! *fumes* He doesn't know how to do his job, he doesn't even come close to my level of work. His job would be a cake-walk for me, but he can't do it without begging for help. I'm so pissed! But you know what? I can't do a damn thing. It's info I shouldn't have known and I can't complain about the payrate because he's 'in a different department'. But I can still be MAD. It's favoritism and everyone knows it. Because he's working for the high mucky-mucks he gets more money. Well I can't wait to see him crash and burn. *grumble* I can't wait to get back into school and show him up. Grr!!!
