I might have Strep again. I'm not totally sure, but I do know that my throat feels like a porcupine died in it. >_< At least I can still eat/drink right now.

Spent the weekend with Owen and it was very nice. I wouldn't call it relaxing, but it was still fun. We had a cook out on Saturday, followed by some fireworks fun. Sunday was church. I haven't been to church in aaaaages. I'm amazed I didn't get struck by lightening when I walked in. ;P Religion isn't my thing, but it means a lot to Owen and his family, so the least I could do was go and be polite. I'm glad I did. It's a small place, but it was able to pull off the cozy feeling without any creepy. Everyone knew each other and were incredibly warm and inviting. I was called Sister Morgan. It had its cool moments. :) No I didn't find Jesus, but I'm not opposed to going again in case he drops by next time.

I swear, if I don't get the storage unit cleaned out soon I'm going to go INSANE. I'm sick of coming home to a pig pen. Nothing is in a place where it's usable. I haven't seen the top of my sewing table in weeks...no MONTHS. My hand sewing and embroidery have been lost to the mass of boxes here there and everywhere. I have half-finished projects that are calling my name, but it's hard to hear through the stacks of crap. >_< My fingers are itching to work. I've been trying my hardest not to go out and buy a new pattern and supplies just to get myself moving because I know that if I do I'll never get everything else in place. *grumbles* Whar's my magic wand damnit!!! WANT TO CRAFT BUT CANNOT!

Ok, moving on...

I made up a 1-3-5 list for myself in order to get some solid non-costuming goals written down. A lot of them are bill and education themed, which is to be expected since those are the two areas I really need to work on. I've put myself into financial lock-down to attempt to keep my goals in line. While I'm not cutting out cons I will be stopping myself from taking spending money since that seems to make up half my con budget. Owen's already seen the list, and has agreed on several points, including the ones that you're going to be drawn to as soon as you see them. ;)

Year One:
Drop 60lbs
Engaged?
Pay off 'former life' debt (est $3k)
Actively enrolled in school (bookkeeping and possibly massage school for the dojo)
Learn a martial art (Owen? local school?)

Year Two/Three:
Drop another 60lbs
Engaged? Married?
Business management degree? Depends on previous schooling and necessity.
Finish off all static debt

Year Five:
Purchase a home
Build savings
Kids? Adopt.

It gives me lots to think about and work on. :)

Southern Baptist actually. My Dad was raised that way, and after hearing his horror stories I was really nervous. However it's a quaint place, so I think it will be alright. Or at least I hope it will be alright!

Have you read the book, 'The Secret'? I highly recommend it because it's based largely on positive thinking, or as I call it "Bruce Almighty" logic.

I've heard of it, but never read it. I'm sure I could pick up a used copy some where. It couldn't hurt to give it a look. ^_^

That's wonderful to plan out some long-term goals like that. I have only one long-term goal: to live to be 137. So far, it's coming along quite nicely (you know, 'cuz I'm not dead yet) XD
