Date: 2010-05-11 08:00 pm (UTC)The biggest problem with Downtown Raleigh is that everything closes after lunch on the weekedays - many places are not open for dinner, but there's Tir Na Nog (not walking distance), Sushi Blues (also not), lots of clubs, pizza places. There's a lot available, just not necessarily near the convention center.
However, almost all parking decks are cheap or free depending on what time you park. I wouldn't rely on our bus system, and if you want a taxi, you'll pretty much need to call ahead, as they aren't sitting around waiting like in Atlanta.
Raleigh's a big place, but we're lacking in some areas other large cities have covered.
