Rick said that we have to turn up the muzak in the office because we share the same zone as the back sales floor. Sucks for me since I'm right under a speaker. Anyway, a song popped up a few minutes ago that sounded a little bit like Age of Empires 2. Now I REALLY want to play it. >_<

What's hilarious is that I could probably load it on the reception computer with no problems since the game is ancient. As laggy as reception is it would still do well.

I can still remember the 'hey! you just spawned a villager!' sound. *shakes head*

That reminds me of loading Duke Nukem and Quake onto the computer science workstations in high school. Those were the days.

Speaking of common noises, last night I started watching Kung Fu Hustle, and there was a stock chicken noise in it that was used in Ed, Edd, and Eddy a lot. I also frequently hear door opening noises that are used in FPS's and water dripping noises in movies/shows. I want to ignore them, but they're so blatantly stock noises! XD

Glad to hear I'm not the only one to get sim-game urges, though. I get the urge to play Civ IV at least once a month.

I always crack up when I hear noises like that. Like the blasters from Star Wars. They're every where!

One nice thing about where I work- we bring in our own laptops. No work comps.

There are times I wish we did the same thing, but it would be more of a hassle that it's worth since most of our sales people don't do well with new things.

Ah, I don't have co-workers at work. The building across from us gets the upper air person come in at 5:30, but other then that, the only living things I deal with at work are critters of various shapes and sizes.

I wish I didn't have to deal with people. It would make my day soooo much easier.

It does me. I see one person when I come in, and leave when the next person comes and everything is set.

The problem is you have to deal with Mother Nature, who can be a bigger pain at times.
