LowCoCon is up!! However, it sucks. >_< I haven't done html in 4-eva so I pulled a quick template, smashed the heck out of it, then posted. I still can't figure out how to upload images. GoDaddy and I need some personal time together. I'll figure something out eventually. The point is we've got something going.

Speaking of which, we're thinking of getting a small business loan instead of a credit card to cover expenses. They would also be able to help us set up LLC status. We'd need to open a bank account as well, but we can't do that until LLC is official. We're not going to get much. Essentially we're asking for enough to cover this year, as well as part of next year. Hopefully things will work out. *crosses fingers*

The Earl of Spencer is coming to the store later today. Blah. Personally I don't see the big deal, but everyone is flipping out about it. Whatever. It's just a guy.

I'm sorry you had to miss NDK. I had a few friends who had to do the same.

Things are still moving forward. Right now you'll be staying in the CommRoom with Barry and myself. I have an air matt you can use if you don't have your own. I'm hoping to have reg and the hotel section up by this weekend. I can't wait to meet you!!

I'm sure I'll probably be flying in since I don't really have plans to drive all the way from Utah to S. Carolina. :)

I'm still getting a small crew together to meet me at your Con to help you out. As we get closer I'll give you my list of those that are coming. I know my friend Fred is going to help me learn the game system he published, so I might try to run that game at the con. Now, I have something that is a bit old school but was still fun to play when I was growing up. I still have the original books for Star Frontiers....yeah...you read that right. I thought maybe have a an Old school table for games of yesteryear that we fell in love with. We could have other stuff like the first D&D rules, Paranoia and such. Games that took a few minutes to read and learn, but a life time to enjoy. Let me know what you think about that. :)

Sounds like fun! I love older games. Barry has quite a few. He got me the oooold Starship Troopers 'bookshelf' game a bit ago. I love it to pieces. ^_^

I have the same thing, it was given to me as a B-Day gift when I think I was 16 or 18, never cracked it opened, but it was a used copy. I think all the materials are in there, I have to go look through storage for it. :)

I guess when we get closer, set up a Old School game table schedule of what we want to play and such.

I have to head out and take care of some business.

Prod me on aim...i'm TealGryphon. I'll transfer the folder to you. And are you uploading through GoDaddy's little thingy they have on their site? 'Cause that thing sucks. I use Filezilla to manage my websites.

I'd be happy to do the site stuffs for you guys, btw. I think we already had that conversation. Just let me know what you want on the site, color scheme, and various other bits of info. I won't charge at this point...we can work something out later. Something mutually beneficial.
Sidenote: while i'd like to go, I don't know if my finances will allow me to.

And a suggestion...
You gonna have DnD (or similar RPGs) happening? If so, since many people will probably not have pre-made characters, or they'll have something that's not really what the rulebooks state, maybe you could hold a panel on character creation for those games before you have actual gaming sessions?

I've got class tonight at 5:30. So it'll be after 8pm before I can get online. Hopefully not any later. We've got our final exam...not sure how long it'll take.

We're going to be reserving the BIG suite for the CommRoom. It's not really a ConSuite since it's not open to the public. Also IF we get enough people to book rooms, we'll get a single room for free. Either way, there will be space.

Greetings! Nice to 'meet' you.
I'm hardly ever on yahoo messenger. And at this point i'm not sure i'll be making the con in the first place.

However, where security is concerned, I have credentials! Kinda. My dad's in law enforcement, and when i was still shooting i was one of the top in the nation. Plus I look really intimidating...or so my friends keep telling me.
Pity Georgia concealed-carry permits aren't good in S.C. Good just about everywhere else in the South, but not there.

*smiles* Well, I hope you can make it. it's always nice to meet other 'security' minded people.

I use to be in Law Enforcement in Texas and just moved back to Utah. I miss having my LEO national carry conceal. I do have Utah's, but unsure if it's covered in S.C.

I know I look intimidating, I stand 6'5" and weigh close to 390 lbs, but I'm somewhat proportional my friends tell me. :)
