Weeked - This one and next

Fun stuff first. I went clothes shopping (yay store card!) and got a hair cut. I also was lucky enough to get my engagement ring stretched for free. Gotta love knowing someone who knows someone. All in all I did a whole lot of nothing this weekend, which was great. ^_^

Bad stuff. In the words of the Bard "She's commin' right for us!!"

Hurricane Hana is expected to smack right into Charleston. She's moving slowly, which worries me honestly. When I started tracking her yesterday we were supposed to get the damage Friday morning. Now it's Saturday morning. Ugh. I just hope she hits when it's light out. Storms at night freak me out. Anyway, for my own sanity...a list!

In house and ready to roll:
First Aid Kit (bought it 6mo ago, checked for expired products)
Self-powered flash light
TONS of rechargeable batteries
Flashlights to go with batteries
Ice trays in full effect yo!
Candles...lots and lots of candles

I'll be stopping by Walmart tonight to get water, bleach, cat food, and a few more food staples. We've got LOTS of canned food and Nutrisystem left. I might get a box of granola bars jic. Most of the laundry is done, but I'll be changing the bed sheets and washing those later in the week, as well as all the towels in the house. The laptop, portable dvd player, and mp3 players are pulled to be charged. Can't blame us for wanting to be entertained. Just before the storm hits I'll be filling the guest tub with water for the toilet jic. It's amazing how many people don't do this, which baffles me. It's one of the easiest things to do, and you won't have stinky toilets! Duh! Oh yeah, I'll need to clean the bathrooms too since I didn't do it this weekend. Oops!

Honestly, I can deal with no power. No water? Watch me bitch. I can't stand not being clean. Glad I always keep Wet Ones in the house...

At this point we don't intend to leave. It would have to be a cat.3 or higher. We're inland-ish, and really, where would we go? We can't afford to truly evacuate, and there's no way in hell we'd leave MJ here. It's still several days off. We'll deal with the issues if it becomes one.

It might become a Cat 3. Paying attention due to it possibly doing a pretty good Hugo impression. Expect it Friday, I hope it doesn't hit Saturday- cause that means it hits here Sunday- and I get to work it.

Mom says it's supposed to land in Hilton Head, but I have no idea where she heard that because I haven't seen it anywhere. I'd rather it hit Friday personally. I want it over with.

Good. I'm still going shopping after work. It's not like we can't use the stuff anyway.

I'd rather it hit Friday as well. I'd get a day off from work. :P

I'm not sure what I'd do if I had to leave my house. I guess I'd go to my parent's house. My cats are balls of stress as it is, so moving them would be a disaster in itself. I don't think I could even put my hands on Francis without tranquilizing her. D: Maybe a visit to the pet store is in order this week.

Travis's parents haven't left for a hurricane before. Hopefully the winds won't be strong enough to scare me out of my mobile home. Tornadoes suck, but let's not think about that...

I think we'll be ok. We're far enough inland to not have to worry about flooding or really nasty wind. It's still hard to tell right now. I figure by tomorrow/Thurs we'll know what's going to happen.
