The weekend was nice, but far too short. I finally saw Dark Knight. Super huge kudos to my FL for not spoiling the movie for me. It was a complete surprise all the way around. You guys rock! ^_^

Vague DK thoughts:
Lol to the disappearing pencil trick.
Omg Rachel! Yay or Boo?
Alfred is a sneaky SoB.
Bruce needs an ego check.
Two-Face = sadness for me
Lucius better be in the next movie damnit!
Joker = love/scariness!!

I'm making a 'senshi' bow set for a friend. It's in quote because, honestly, it's not a senshi costume. She's doing a Dirty Mercury thing. It'll take me all of 20 min to whip out the bows, but it'll make me feel like I accomplished something.

Speaking of doing stuff, I worked on the spare room! Really I did!! I emptied two shelves from the junk bookcase and filled my sewing desk with supplies. Now I have empty plastic bins and more room to put things. My next job will be finishing off the next two shelves, then the dresser which has also turned into a dumping ground. After that? THE CLOSET!! Dun dun duuuunnnnn!! Seriously, it's an f'ing mess in there. I need to do it before October or else I won't find the holiday decorations. If it wasn't for my parents passing down ornaments, I'd have a bigger Halloween box than Christmas. lol!

I also put in an app at AC Moore. I don't think I'd get the job since I accidentally asked the assistant manager if ACM was worth applying to. She gave me the stink eye. Oops. Ah well, Michaels is still my first choice, and there's always Hancock Fabrics. HF pays less, but it's a seasonal job. It's not like I was expecting $15 an hour.

Inventory is this weekend. I think I'll intentionally break my leg on Friday...

There's nothing wrong with that! Shoot, I keep a decent portion of my decorations up year round. Don't you do that too?

Oh yes- there are bloody hand prints on my kitchen window as we speak (I'm sure the neighbors just *love* that). To me, Halloween is the best time of year to buy home decor; you should see how many of my drinking glasses are adorned with spider, pumpkins and skeletons.

Hehe! That's awesome.
I've been slowing growing my collection of fake medicine bottles. I need to get an old looking shelf to put them on.

Also, I too was very upset that they killed Harvey off right away. I figured that the scarring incident would happen at the end of the movie, thus ensuring that he would show up as Two-Face in the next one.

I LOVED the scene on the river when the con throws the detonator out the window. Powerful stuff- the whole audience cheered at that part.

It was very awesome. Somehow I figured the cons would be better than the regular people.

It's a shame Harvey won't be in the next one. However, there are no hard rules of death in the DC universe. Shoot, I'm hoping they bring back Raz Al Guhl.

True. And, if you go by the comics, he's essentially immortal. Although they didn't mention that in the movie...still, it's a possibility.

I have a holly berry garland that I wove into the frame of the mirror at my front door. After taking it down and having to put it back up again the next year...I just left it up there because it was too much of a pain in the ass.

At least it gives some color to that area.

I'm so glad you went to go see TDK! Too bad Rachel was a plot device, but I think her fate was better that way. We can't have Batman thinking he'll have a happy ending one day now can we? :P

I almost wish it was still Mrs. Tom Cruise in the roll just to have that moment of bliss at the end. Ah well.

"Wahh! She was going to marry me! Poor Harvey, he's so delusional. Waahhh!!"

Lucius better be in the next movie damnit!

He has to be. When he entered his name into the computer, it destroyed the program, thus securing his job and his part in the movie. I want to know who the next villain will be for the third. I'd love to see Poison Ivy or a new Penguin. And they need to introduce Robin.

But Gary Oldman as Gordon is love.

Good. I was kind of going 'huh?' because I couldn't remember the entire conversation between him and Batman.

I'm torn between a bruiser (Killer Croc/Clayface), or a traditional (#1 is Mr. Freeze). The Scarecrow walk-on was awesome! He needed way more screen time though. Dude is HOT! Of course, they could follow the path taken in BBegins and show a character that isn't known outside the comics, like Black Mask, Anarky, or Deadshot.

While I'd LOVE to see more of the Bat-team (Batgirl FTW!), I hope they don't. It would be VERY hard for them to bring them in without a level of campiness following.

Yup, saw it. It wasn't bad overall, but some of the stories didn't flow as well as others.
