Gas prices for thought

morganskyeI was checking my hotmail a few minutes ago when I saw an msn article about gas costing $10 a gallon. Relax, it's a hypothetical situation. ^_^ It does have loading problems, so you might need to refresh the page a few times.
It did make the think though. If gas when that high, what would I do? I can't walk/bike to work. I take the interstate for part of the way. The bus route doesn't work for what I needs, and right now the passes are nearly as much as what I spend on gas. I could, however, walk/bike to the grocery store. I'd have to stop shopping at Walmart OR just go once a month instead of weekly as I do now.
Honestly, there isn't much I could cut out of my driving. I really don't do much other than seeing my parents. One good thing though is that they're building a bike path on part of Dorchester Road (I live on it, and use it to get to M&D's). It doesn't go the whole way, but it's close enough. Summerville is great about putting in bike lanes when they renovate roads. It's just a shame Charleston doesn't do the same. -_-
Well, it's bedtime. I'm going to go to sleep and wake up one day closer to the weekend. Woo!
