This weekend kind of sucked. Friday night was ok. Saturday was alright till it was time to go home. There was an air show at the AFB, so a 20 minute drive took an HOUR. *grr* Barry made up for it by being a total sweetheart. ^_^

Sunday we woke up early, went to breakfast, then headed to M&D's. I helped Mom plant some veggies while Barry and Dad did guy stuff. When we got home around noon we were tired, sore, and hot. While I was getting ready for my shower Barry informed me that the cable was out. GRR!! I cleaned up then called maintenance. I was told that half of the complex was out. Ok, and? Well, no and. Apparently he wasn't the guy who needed to fix it. *sigh* So no TV all freaking day. We had worked out butts off to get the apt cleaned up so that we didn't have to work on Sunday. Just vegg and relax. So much for that! We watched some movies, read, etc. I ended up going to be at 9. *sigh* Not a good day. I called a few minutes ago and the management said that it'll be down for the rest of today too. Suckage.

Cookies always make everything better. Now if only I could get the cleaning lady to stop vacuuming by my desk. She's been doing it for at least 10 minutes straight. How dirty can it be?!?

I would if I was dealing with a normal cable company, but I'm not. Have I told you the story of our f'ed up DirecTv mutant spinoff cable?

Okies. For some unknown reason, instead of allowing a regular cable company into the complex, they 'rent' a signal from DirecTv that they send out to the apartments. We technically get DTv, but without the box, ability to get PPV, or the free previews. We pay $47 a month for about 60 channels. Also, we can't get real DTv because of the insane rules about the dish locations, height, etc. They also won't let regular cable in.

Now, as of 10/07 this became illegal according to the FCC. However, it would take the entire complex to revolt in order to make the management change, and I don't see that happening.
