IMAX blows

I called the Myrtle Beach IMAX to see when they're playing Speed Racer.

They're not.

So I asked about Batman.

Nope, not showing that one either.

The only one even CLOSE to me is in Buford GA. Don't get me wrong, I really want to see both movies in IMAX, I just don't know if it's work driving out to GA twice. Plus I really don't believe the guy who answered the phone. He seemed a little unsure of himself. Grr...

Science films.

Apparently the theaters are fairly independent, so they don't all have screens big enough to show movies. I did call Charlotte and they're showing Speed Racer at least. *sigh* Crappo.

Yeah, I just went and looked at their schedule. They must get a lot of school field trips.

At least Charlotte isn't such a bad drive comparatively.

Try Sumter. Air Force town so more willing to show stuff that's not normal.

They don't have an imax, at least according to the imax website. There's plenty of regular theaters that are showing SR and Batman around here, but I really wanted the BIG screen. I saw Batman Begins at imax, as well as the last two Harry Potter movies. It's worth it, but I just can't bring myself to drive 4 hours one way for a 2 hour movie.

Got another reason to head to Charlotte then? Only thing I could think of in Charlotte that you could possibly want to go to Event-wise is Heroes-Con in June, and I don't think you're into comics enough to go to that.

I MIGHT hit that if I go somewhere else instead of Animazement Mem day weekend- choosing between a major East Coast tourney in VA and Animazement right now. Work may end up deciding for me.

I would just simply cut the hassle and check online. I'd love to see good ol' Speed on IMAX, especially since I'm hearing some good things about it.

I did, but Imax theaters aren't like regular ones. They don't usually post schedules until a week or so before the show.

If you're coming up here for it, we could coincide our outings and get a group together:D Also, I just found out that some of the scenes are actually shot with an IMAX camera. OHGODCANNOTWAIT.
