The Good, The Bad, and the 'omg my arm HURTS'

I'm the only one in the office today but the retail side is open...Meh. It should be fairly quiet, and I'm hoping to bail early since I still have lots to do at home. On the plus, my A/C is fixed FINALLY.

So here's my weekend:

The Good:
~100% free-handed a new pillow case from an old sheet set. Came out looking BOSS. I'm insanely proud of myself even though I shouldn't be. :D I cut enough to make two, but I only sewed one since I was tired when I did the 1st.
~Repaired some bracelets that I'd had lying around. Expanded a Pinkie Pie themed one that was too small (added new toggle and some bells), and removed some die-shaped beads from another that was too big (made the spare beads into earrings). Again, nothing I should be proud of since it's hella easy, but I've never done it before. Yay!
~Massive progress in my Telma costume. She's not 100% yet, but will be by Wednesday.
~Dyed a skirt that was bleach stained. It's now jet black. Tonight I'll be lightening two shirts that also were hit by bleach.

The Bad:
~I cut so much fabric this weekend the top of my right forearm HURTS.
~While doing said cutting I accidentally used what I thought was scrap to make a collar for my cape. Yeah, it wasn't. *makes note to buy more fabric tonight*
~Didn't get anywhere near enough done. I still have to finish Telma's apron and arm bands, make my new Klingon shirt/arm bands/wig reset, and finish the GCI cloak once I get more yellow (re: above fuck-up). Not impossible to get done by Friday morning but it'll be tight.

All in all my weekend was productive, but lonely. It was weird not having Owen there. I even asked the roomie if it was really Saturday because it felt like Sunday (no Owen at night on a weekend = Sunday evening). I did get a fantastic lunch with Sherry, Raynor, and Robin (who I haven't seen in 3+ years). It was so wonderful!! And I got leftovers! :D

Friday morning I head off to ConCarolinas for probably the last time. It makes me a little sad, but it is what it is. As soon as I get back I have to start crafting for ConTemporal. Party never stops!!
