Weekend at Morgan's - IMPORTANT

I think I'm going to postpone W@M's for a variety of reasons.

1) Moolah. I be broke.
2) Not many people are able to make it.
3) ConCarolinas is the weekend after, so in order to have Friday off I have to work Monday (Memorial Day).

Therefore I'm voting that we move it to the weekend of July 4th (7/4 is on a Sunday). It gives me more time to save up bucks for fun foodie stuff, and everyone else more time to schedule days off, save up, etc. Plus I know some people couldn't make it because Animazement is the same weekend. I'm hoping that by moving it I'll have more people able to come.

Thoughts?

I will be having a party on Saturday, May 8th! No, it's not Weekend at Morgan's, but it's something to keep my spirits up. ^_^

Video games, good food, bad movies, and fun! BYOB (or soda/food/whatever). There's no set time, but if you're going to crash I'd like notice so I can make room.



Speaking of W@M's, it's officially July 4th now. Sorry for the Memorial Day promises. :( I really wanted to have it then, but there was just too much working against it. On the plus side, I might be going to Animazement if the money works out. Woot!

I need more comfortable costumes

Why are all the good costumes so damn hard on a person? Feh!

Anyway, here's a short list of what I'm thinking of making in terms of 'Sunday Best'. Yup, allll the congoers on my list know what I'm talking about.

Bioshock Splicer (50's housewife style)
~ready made: dress, shoes, rolling pin from kitchen
~to make: apron, mask

Lone Wanderer from Fallout 3
~ready made: boots...yeah, that's it :(
~to make: pipboy 3000 (argh!), flight suit with alterations, weapons
Note: Yeah, it's hella involved, but it will also be hella comfortable since my boots are broken in, and all I'm really wearing is a flight suit. Since my GB costume is essentially the same I know I won't be killing myself with this.

Ghostbuster 2.0
~ready made: everything but the pack
~to make: the pack. lol! I found a place online that sells vacu-form shells for a reasonable price. If I can get one of those it'll take about 20 lbs off my pack, which will make it far easier to lug around.

Knowing me as all of you do, are there any suggestions for comfortable costumes?
