I still don't have [livejournal.com profile] merryshannon's book. They said it shipped out yesterday, but it won't be here till 5/23. WTF??! That's 2 weeks away! And they said I was supposed to have it last week! *cries* I want my book!!!

Gawd, I have to much work piled up. I really shouldn't be online right now, but I can't help it. I'm in total denial. My paperwork doesn't exist. I don't see it. Lalala! There's nothing there!

Barry's surgery is up in the air. He has to reschedule it because of money/hospital issues. Since he works for Roper Hospital, he can have in/out patient surgery at either Roper, St. Francis, or any other their licensed facilities. Sadly no one told him that the one he was scheduled at isn't licensed exactly. They were just 'renting' the name. Jerks. So now he has to reschedule and other nonsense. Bah! There's waaaay more to it, but I'm not totally sure on all of it. All I know is that if he doesn't get it done at the right place he has to pay for everything. Unlike when he had his gall bladder taken out. That cost him $300 for the whole freaking thing. Lucky. I'm still shelling out bucks for my 3 hours in the emergency room. $900 to watch Teen Titans. Bastards!

On Saturday night I could have sworn that my apartment was haunted. Or someone was playing panty-thief. But since all my silky darlings are still in their drawer I'm beginning to wonder what was going on. Barry was out doing benifit stuffs and I was home alone. Now I know living in an apartment makes you hear strange things, but I've been there a month and I've never heard stuff like this before.

I was sitting downstairs on the couch playing KH2. Not a scary game at all, so rule out outside influence. Anyway, I was playing away when I heard a loud 'thump' directly above my head. I look and see nothing. I think I told myself something fell. I then heard footsteps and the floorboards creaking. I know exactly where whatever it was was standing because it creaks the same way for me. So I grabbed a knife and snuck up stairs. Nothing. No one in my room, guest room, bathrooms, etc. No sign of anyone either. My bed was just as pretty and made up as it was when I got home (the bed is in front of the window). So I went back downstairs, turned up the tv and ignored the noise. It went on for a few more minutes then stopped.

My thinking is that it's one of the ghosts from my parents' house. I mentioned ages ago that everyone in the house (and Barry) has either seen or heard a ghost. We all feel it's the previous owners checking up on things. On Saturday I had visited my parents' house for the first time since I moved a month ago. I think one followed me to make sure everything was fine. I'll bet you think this sounds a little vain, but it's the only thing I can come up with. Ideas?

My Warriors of Legend: Reflections of Japan in Sailor Moon finally arrived! Woot! Still waiting on [livejournal.com profile] merryshannon's book though. Grr.

Turns out it's printed by a company right here in Charleston. I watched the book leave Chas, go to West Columbia, than back down to West Ashley. If I knew that's where it was I would have picked it up myself! Gawd, I ordered the darn thing back in April. Ah well, it's here and I'm glad! I should have just enough time to finish it before Sword of the Guardian gets here. *happy dance*
