But first a little something different.

[livejournal.com profile] amberbaka and [livejournal.com profile] aarana, you know how I suggested doing at mini-con during Thanksgiving weekend? Totally scratch that. I did a flight check from MIA to CHS and there was a $100 difference between T-day weekend and the weekend after. Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] aarana, what airport do you want to fly out of?

Now on to D*C!

Couple quick notes:
*For everyone who is sending me their money ahead of time, PLEASE let me know when you're sending it so I can be on the lookout.
*How about instead of buying fresh milk everyday (because my fridge doesn't hold a lot), what about using powdered milk instead? Yes, I know it doesn't taste as good, but since we're using it with cereal it won't make too much of a difference. Or we can totally skip the cereal route and just eat muffins and bagels. Cream cheese and jelly doesn't take up much room after all.

I like the muffins/bagels idea better :) they'll take up less room too.

Muffins are always good. Ooh, and croissants! A couple of slices of ham and cheese on a croissant makes an awesome breakfast.

Then I'm going to say by popular vote that cereal is out and baked goods are in. Besides, ham and cheese take up less space. ^_^

Do you want to pick those up since I'm driving 5 hours to get there? Warm ham and cheese isn't very yummy.

No problemo. I had actually considered buying a small cooler so we'd have more food storage for the room:)

I'm bringing a rolling cooler, so don't worry about spending your bucks. ^_^ It's not huge, but it'll keep drinks cold.

Okey doke. There is a Kroger right across the street from my apartment, so if we need to pick anything else up when you get here, it'll be a snap.

I'll be sending mine out soon (I keep getting distracted by shiny things!), but the instant I mail mine out, I'll definitely let you know. In fact, on my way back from the post office, I will violently shove people out of my way and yell "I NEED INTERNETSSSS!!" ... That sounds like fun!

I'll bring some breakfast things along with my Promised Snackies Of Deliciousness to help out, if you want. I always buy my baked goods from the Kroger across the street and maaan I hope they have the double-chocolate scones. MMM-MMMMM. The rest of my family doesn't like them (they don't care for scones), but I just love them. But I digress (more like drool-gress, AMIRITE? LOL!). Anyway, I'll get some good stuff that won't need refrigeration (scones, pastries, etc), so it won't take up fridge room.

I think I must sound like a pig to to other roommates! It's just so expensive trying to eat every meal at the Con (not to mention it gave me a horrible upset stomach), and you need to keep up your energy because it can really be exhausting! Plus it's frustrating when it's like 3:07 and you want a snack 'cuz dinner's not for awhile yet but you don't want to pay $3 for a cookie at the snack shops and your roomies were nice enough to bring lunch meat and bread but dude it has been in a cooler without ice for 2 days now and that mayonnaise has been sitting out and like man I'm not touching that and they were really nice people but it was just kinda gross. I... I kind of wandered off with that one.
But that's why I'm all gung-ho about the snacks. I can also hit up the dollar store and get paper plates, napkins, and plastic cutlery, if you want. I shall at least act civilized whilst I stuff my face!

*giggle snort* It seems like you've been dipping into the double-chocolate scones already Miss SugarRush! lol! Drool-gress. You're so weird! LOVE IT!! I wish we had a Kroger around here. I'd be sooo much fatter.

I can just see you running through the crowd, knocking people over. "I need a computer STAT!!"

I have some cutlery that's leftover from my X-mas party, but it would be a huge help if you brought plates and napkins. Thanks!

Hmmmmm... I'm trying to recall if I took you to one last time. Kroger is a supermarket that's prominent in the South (we have loads of them in Atlanta).

*heehee* I don't think you sound like a pig. It's much better to eat stuff you bring at con, since A) it saves money, and B) it's healthier than most of the shite in the food courts. I'll probably be bringing a loaf of bread and some peanut butter; peanut butter sandwiches = awesome shopping/stalking/ogling fuel:D

Yay :) Man, last year I felt soooo sluggy from all the fast food junk we were eating. This year I'm going to try to keep it to Food Court dinner, one dinner at Mick's (it's a walk, but it's worth it!), and Monday breakfast at McDonald's. Hmm, maybe I should bring some of those Ramen noodle bowls for lunch. I need to think this through! *puts it on the list of Many Things To Do Before D*Con*
