morganskye: (Cunning Use of Flags)

Well, the physical count part of inventory is done. That leaves the masses upon masses of paperwork and data entry. My part is now delayed due to my own brain melt last night. I screw up my book twice and forgot to finish the nightly backup (which is running now on my comp, therefore I can't use our entry program till it's done). Admitedly, I did the entry for 3 count books, everyone else did 1 or 2 max. I think I deserve a little leway because of that. Not that it matter really...*sigh* So tired...

I did scrounge up enough energy to make some soap last night. I set up another batch of puzzles pieces (you rock [livejournal.com profile] missmalade!), and tried out some new molds. The flexus mold is AMAZING. I don't even have to try and get it out. The others however are being a pain, so it's off to the freezer with them. I hate using that method since it shortens the life of the mold, but if I can't get the freaking soap out what else can I do?

On that note, I'm plotting what to do with my money. I need a way to track it, so I'm going to use an old 'pay off/don't touch' credit card. All the current charges are going on it so I know just how much trouble I'm getting into. Then all the money I make will go straight to that card. In theory I'll not only be paying the store, but myself as well. From the info I've been able to gather, I should be able to make around $200 a Saturday. With a planned 2 Sat's a month, that's $400 (I r smrt! yo!) I have a general upkeep of $75-$100 per month, so there's $300 in 'profit'. I figure after 6 months I'll have 2 credit cards paid off. When Christmas approaches I'll probably kick it into high gear and work every weekend. We'll see. I still have my OT obligation at work, so that takes one Sat at least. Plus I'd like to go to the anime club meetings, but those are late in the afternoon, so I could just kick off early. I really hope I don't drown in this...

And speaking of money and drowning, B and I went looking at homes on Sunday. Mainly we drove by some new developments that are going up. I fell in love with some 3b/2b 'farm houses'. They're TINY though. The biggest is 1,400 sf with a $160k price tag. But at least a new home has fewer surprises. I dunno...He's not terribly keen on the idea, so I guess I'll just have to keep dreaming for a while.

Heh, I keep forgetting how go I have it down here. Even though the housing market sucks, there's still soooo much undeveloped/newly developed land here that pickings are great. My mom's friend in Charlotte, NC just sold her 2,500sf for about 1.5m. OMG! I'm glad I don't live anywhere else. Then again, if I did I'd probably get earning more too. ^_^
