Computer babbling

morganskyeI've almost got the laptop where I want it. Almost. I'm still having trouble with the codec, but I've dl'ed the latest versions so hopefully that'll take care of any issues. I want to check out a local wifi place to see if the connection is better than what I have at home. It's hell to do updates on dial-up.
I broke down and bought legit versions of some of the programs I had that were pirate copies. I didn't spend loads ($15 actually) because I bought the exact version I was using, which was a good 2-3 years old. I adore Software Outlet! While the computers are out for repair/canabalizing I'm going to rework the computer desk. I don't like the way it's set up. There's too many power cords because it's right next to the tv/gaming consoles. It's a fire hazard waiting to happen. This will involve moving some bookcases, totally cleaning off the desk of EVERYTHING and lots of cursing/whining. I think I'm up for it. ^_^

michiru_kou, I still have that box I've been meaning to pack up staring at me. I think what I'll do is send what I have available and do the mass music disks later (assuming I can get the files back). I'm forcing myself to totally clean downstairs, and getting that box gone is a major part. I'll drop you a note when it goes out. Same goes for missmalade and merryshannon. Ps Merry, I didn't have any luck copying the DVD, but I'm going to try it on the laptop. Maybe since it's newer the burner won't choke on me.
Finally, I got in the last of my soap order. I now have 21 1oz bottles of scented oils. The only problem is I'm not sure what the scent is. One of the bottles leaked, and since it's oil it ate right through the lables on the outside. So now I'm playing the 'What Scent is This?' game. Some are obvious, others not so much. At least a few still have partial names left so I can make an educated guess...My roomie suggested putting them in individual zipper baggies, which works perfectly. I can write the name of the scent (or at least the general idea ex. 'floral') on the bag and keep it from getting contaminated by the other scents. *rubs hands together* I can't wait to get home and start playing!!
