Hmm...lessee...I made soap as promised. And yes, as soon as I got to a decent net connection I ordered about $100 worth of supplies (w/ s&h). I know that seems bad, but check this yo. 2lbs of MP soap at AC Moore/Michaels is $9, vs $3.50 online. A 10lb bucket is $35 locally, but I got a 24lb block for $30. How cool is that?! If I bought everything I got locally I would have paid $300 easy. Man I love the internet!

Anyhoo, my peeps loved the soaps I brought in. I played with embedding, which went reasonably well. I got a kit for $20 that let me do two loafs. The first one was a hassle since the long flower soap I was trying to get in wouldn't stop popping to the top. The second went much better, even though I had air bubbles. -_-; I also used the 'alcohol spray' technique for the first time. Kami-sama bless the person who came up with that! When you're finished with the soap (or adding on more layers), you give it a quick spritz of rubbing alcohol to get rid of surfact bubbles. Damn it looks better after that. Schweeeet! Can you tell I'm excited? I can't wait to try some more recipes!

Other than that it was a lazy weekend. B got his 360 and hasn't stopped playing...well except for last night because I got to play with his joystick. *rolls eyes* Yah, can't stop the dumb sexual jokes. Anyway, he digs it big time. ^_^

Had relatives over for a spaghetti dinner on Sunday. It went over pretty well. We had so much spaghetti left over, but no sauce or bread. I'll do a better shopping trip next time. But dinner for 5 for under $10 can't be beat!

Um...went to M&D's for dinner on Tuesday. It was very nice. Had bratwurst and seafood and some homemade cherry and peach pie. OMG So good!! Easy too. I adore pre-made pie crust.

I can't wait for D*con. Is it September yet?
