Last night we had a wopper of a storm roll through. We ended up losing power, getting golf-ball sized hail, and loads of rain, thunder and lightning. Here comes the TMI. As most of you know, thunderstorms turn me on. I don't mean 'let's get frisky', I mean 'hold onto the headboard or you'll fall off the bed'. And B, bless his heart, was not in the mood. *frustrated sigh* It was a perfect storm too. LOADS of lightning and sharp cracks of thunder. I was raring to go before I hit the door. Alas, nothing came of it. *sob*

Attention D*con roomies and riders!
I need to know if you are/aren't/might be coming to D*con. I'm trying to get a head count. I have a confirmed 2 DB/NS room at the Marriott for Fri/Sat at $160, plus a very nice DB air mattress. This makes a comfortable 6 people. The rest are on their own. ^_^ ATM I have myself and Kerri confirmed; Barry, Elf and her sweetie as a maybe. Everyone else please give me a heads up. And just so you know, the con rates are sold out at both the main host hotels. Also, if you want to drive with us let me know NOW so I can arrange a bigger car. Kthx.

As much as I love Wonder Woman, she's a little too prissy sometimes...

Harry Potter? Harry *#&%ing Potter?!? Geez, I guess I was too honest about those revenge questions...

You scored as Harry Potter. You are a very passionate and caring person when it comes to the wellness of your friends as well as others. You're very temperamental and sarcastic, and sometimes you'll flow a little bit over to the arrogant and obnoxious side when your temper gets the best of you. But you're bold and daring and will stand up for what you feel is right with bravery.

And now for random tid-bits...

-I found my sewing machine power cord on Sat. Sadly I was so tired from working on the storage unit I haven't felt like sewing.
-Tried Joltx2 finally. OMG! I was so awake it was scary.
-I'm hooked on Suduku. Unfortunatly it's the version on Brain Train for GBDS, so yah, I'm doing it the lazy way. ^_^
-I've stocked up on those Crystal Light to go packs, but they're all the Walmart brands. Not that I care. Crack by any other name would still taste good...or something like that.
-I'm having a stitch-n-bitch next weekend. Come one come all!
-B and I are thinking of going to Universal Studios for a nice vaca at some point within the next year or so. We're planning on saving up $200 a month for a year to make $2400 to play with. ([livejournal.com profile] amayagoddess is this enough for hotel/travel/etc? How long was your drive down?)

Excellent! Bedspace reserved.
I'm so psyched! I can't wait to meet Paul Dini. He's pretty much the reason why I'm going. ^_^

The drive down to Orlando is the typical 7-8 hours, assuming you go the speed limit and not more. Hope you aren't the lead foot you used to be in high school. $2400 dollars had better not be including a speeding ticket. :P

$2400 is more than enough for a week (we were actually there for a week and two days the first year). I believe the hotel package we bought was like...$1300 or so. Then we allowed $600-$800 for everything else. But I don't know how extravagant you two are on vacations. If you stay on site, you might actually go to the Luau or something. We did nerdy stuff at night like buy music on the hotel's tv system. We listened to some old Weird Al cd for an hour one night. ^_^

There are lots of good restaurants in the area as well. Hell, there's too much for me to tell you in a post. Just get with me about it closer to when you go.

We're going for Halloween next year, so we can't get an accurate price. So far for this year it would cost a hair under $1000 for 3 nights/2 park days. The price drops drastically if we stayed outside the park, but I really would like to get all the sweet benifits from saying in the park. Bah! My Scrooge side keeps whining about the price. I think the cost also has a lot to do with the special events going on while we're there.
