As we all know, the housing market is in a slump. So much so that I can actually afford a townhouse in NChs. Sure it's the 20th most dangerous city in America, but we used to be #7!

The point is, I found a condo in a decent area for $89,500. It's 3bed, 1/1 bath, 1144sqft. The regime fee is only $400 a year, but it doesn't cover the roof or siding. All in all it's not a bad first place. The problem is that it's in the subdivision that Barry used to live in with his ex. I know it's not the same house, but he still doesn't want to move their.

Admittedly we didn't plan on moving anywhere till a few years down the road. We have no moving money, no down payment, etc. Moving would also throw a wrench in my bill plan. However it's an amazing deal. The market won't be down forever. Do I push him to jump, or should I sit on my hands and wait? Financially it could screw us, but we could also end up with a good place cheap. Argh!!

In all honesty I probably won't do anything. It is bad timing, no matter how good the price. Besides, I really don't want a condo/townhouse. I want a HOUSE. I want a yard and a garage. Something I can tear around in without bothering anyone. Grr, why do houses have to be so expensive?!
