I heard about the OPEC thing. It seems the major ones pushing for this are nations who have based their budgets around oil sales. A drop in demand for oil really hurts countries like Iran and Venezuela. You'd think the Republicans would be the ones telling everyone to retire their gas-guzzling SUVs and buy hybrids and bicycles!
I think you should use that report as a basis for asking for a raise. :-D
