You know, it's nice to be needed where you work. It's another thing when all the stupid people around you suddenly become dependant on you. Case in point: Several days ago I got a reaming from one of the salespeople (who happens to be the daughter of the owner) because we were 'out of coffee and creamer. go out and get some NOW.' We weren't out of coffee or creamer. If she had looked on top of the fridge (where the extra supplies had been kept since before I started working here) she would have found plenty. Better yet, if she had opened her freaking eyes she would have seen that the creamer had been moved and the coffee had been pushed to the back of the drawer we keep it in. So sad...

Here's another one. It's along the lines of compy tech support...

Salesperson: The copier up front is broken. Fix it.
Me: What's wrong with it. (praying for details)
SP: It won't copy.
Me: ....duh.

So I go up there and look at the copy. The little red light beside the 'fill paper tray' icon is on. The LED screen says 'add paper'. I open the paper drawer. It's empty. Gee, I wonder why it won't work?!? Needless to say I fix the error.

Me: The copier is working now.
SP: Fine.
Me: Do you want to know what was wrong so you can fix it next time?
SP: Next time? That's your problem, not mine. You have to fix it.
Me: (resisting the urge to kill) There's nothing to fix. The paper tray was empty. You can refill it yourself.
SP: Whatever. Go copy this for me.

I look at her, then walk away. She says something about it to the owner, who looked at her and laughed, then appologized to me. He knows I won't take that crap.

Two more hours till the weekend is here! Wee!!
