From Ruby Red to Eggshell #3
Jul. 9th, 2012 09:17 amMy silver lining of tanning after the burn disappeared this weekend now that I've started to peel. So apparently I can only be either Dayglow Red or Vampire White. Fun.
I'm better, but extremely tired. We're talking post-Dragoncon tired. It sucks. I haven't gotten anything done aside from laundry, and really that's only because I needed clean towels. Clean towels are amazing. Anyway, I'm hoping to be back to normal speed soon, or at least able to stand for more than a minute without pain. With Roundcon creeping up I have three costumes to make from scratch by August 1st. While they're not hard, they're time-consuming because I need to mod patterns on all of them. Fun. At least I already have the supplies I need.
In upbeat news, I finally had a 1st place finish in Gotham City Imposters. Pretty sure it was a fluke, but I'm still thrilled. The roomie was laughing at me because I didn't realize I placed.
Me: Hey! That Bat avatar is dressed exactly like mine!
Roomie: That is you. Dumbass.
Me: WOO! I'M AWESOME!!!
For future reference to all you locals (or people who like to travel), I'm going to be having a 50k achievement party. When is in debate since I'm still a while away from that, but I think it would be fun to do. Besides, what better reason is there for a party? Think of all the stupid signs and cupcakes I can make!!! CUPCAKES!!
