morganskye: (Batman Joker anime dance)
I tried making Batman ears this weekend for my Gotham City Imposters closet-costume, but they look super goofy. Well actually they're cute, but goofy for Batman. Dammit. I'll have to try something else. I'm trying to stay away from using a hat (gets hot fast) or a full mask (need to wear my glasses), but everything else just looks dumb. I might not have a choice though. I know I'm an Imposter, but I don't want to look like an ass either. I think I'll go back to the game's character designs and look for something I can work with.

Last Friday I did a bill consolidation for a large bill and two small ones. While I now have a lien against my car (boo!) and a larger payment (BOO!), I did get a 9% interest reduction on the big loan. I'm going to call that a win. Plus I have a few bucks in my pocket to get Nehelenia's fabric (meant to do that this weekend. oops!) and I got Owen a nice anniversary gift.

The weekend was good. I did a LOT of cleaning. I even vacuumed the stairs! However because I didn't mop the kitchen floor I still feel like the apartment is a mess. >_< My brain is funky. We also lost power for a few hours on Sunday, my afternoon was pretty much shot.

My body has gotten used to drinking all the water that I've been forcing upon it, which is great! Fewer trips to the bathroom, better looking skin, fewer back problems. However I didn't drink as I should have this weekend and I woke up with my tongue glued to the roof of my mouth. D:

Apparently I can only do bullet point posts now. HA!

Netflix recently added the first season of Jem to their Instant list. I've been marathoning it for a little over a week. I've learned quite a few things about my favorite childhood show.

~Kimber is contractually obligated to say 'out-RAY-geous' at least twice an episode, and always when the situation is not in any way 'outrageous'.
~Rio is either a moron, a douchbag, or a perv. Perhaps all three.
~Stormy is my favorite character, therefore she has the least lines and screen time. When she does it's usually saying 'Yeah!' or 'YEAH!'.
~By about half-way through the season I honestly felt sorry for the Misfit's manager, Eric Raymond. Yeah he's an ass, but if I had to tolerate the shit he went through then I'd be an ass too.
~Synergy needs to tell Jerrica/Jem to STFU and deal with her own problems. She then needs to get herself installed on the Normandy so EDI can have a playmate.
~Who the hell is watching the Starlight Girls while the band is having all those wacky adventures?
~For that matter, where is all of Jem's money going? Clearly it's not to Starlight House. I think she's coking it up.
~Shana's clothing designs are crap, even for the 80's. Thank goodness the doll clothes were done first, then put into the show. Also, I'd give my metaphorical left nut for an NRFB Stormer doll.
~I'd pay real money to see a Jem/Pazzazz full-on girl fight.

Netflix needs to hurry up and get the last two seasons, although I'm betting this is just a ploy to get people to buy the DVD set. I'm tempted, but $60 is too much for something I'd only watch once.
