Nashicon in review

I had a great time Saturday. It was a little stressful since I wasn't as prepared as I normally am, but it all worked out. amayagoddess was awesome as always. :)

The morning started with a massive marathon of panels. Due to scheduling errors I went from two morning panels with a break in the middle and an afternoon panel to a 3 hour block of costume/wig fun. It actually turned out well. Basically it was a giant Q&A and wig reset. I think by the time I put my supplies in Erin's car I had re-wigged 5 people. lol! I should set up a table and do it for $5 a pop. ;P

The costume contest was nice. My fellow judges were super nice and had the same mentality as me. We had some really stand-out competitors as well.

Girly moment: I saw a guy dressed as Terry Bogard at the con. I squealed so hard! lol. I got a picture with him (omg I look like a drunk fan), and then later he asked to have his pictured taken with me. It was so cool! I love old school, particularly Fatal Fury since I have lots of good memories with that series. He also smelled good. ;P

Well Crap

A few posts ago I talked about some retro DC prints I found. Since then the same artist made several more, so I priced out what I wanted and waited till payday to get them since, you know, you need MONEY to buy things. Anyway, I finally get to order the pieces...and they're gone. >_< Either he's taken them down for revamp or he got a 'cease and desist' from the DC/Marvel. Either way I suddenly found cash in my pocket. Since I can't save money to save my life I figured I'd find something else to buy. But what to buy? What else do I adore? Answer? ZOMBIES!!

I now have on order these:
Skilled Men
The Perils of Modern Science
We Can Shoot It! (I wish this one wasn't so cartoony, but it still works)
Zombie Propaganda (1st poster shown)

With the spare cash I'm going to hit up Michael's for a shadow box large enough for a Zombie Invasion Kit. It's similar to the one on the Zombie Propaganda poster page, but will be a little more simple and useful. I might put in a first aid kit/bite kit, a flash light, and a few other helpful things.
