Damnit!

I bought a pair of boots online because I can't seem to find ones I like locally. They're black mid-calf with a 1 1/2 inch heel. In essence, perfect...except...

Their wide calf width is a LIE!! I can get the zipper up about half way before it hits my fat calves. *cries*

Does anyone have experience stretching or otherwise altering boots? I'm going to need to add about two inches to the very top.

Elastic? Spandex? Help? I'd ask ssfseiyakou, but she's moving this weekend and will be net-less for quite a while. I'd really like to have these ready for Dragoncon. :(
