Weather is teh suck

I should have know summer would come in with a bitch-slap. For ages it's been nice and mild here in Charleston. Rainy yes, but worth it since it's been 10 degrees colder than usual. Well all that caught up with us the past two nights. We've had WICKED thunderstorms. Thursday night we lost power from 8-10:30ish, and then again last night from 8ish-9ish, and then AGAIN from midnight-2:12am. Why so specific? After the power went out at midnight I couldn't sleep properly. I had to be up at 5 this morning, and it was also ungodly hot. As soon as the power kicked on I rest my alarm and cranked the A/C. Gotta make up for the lack of power usage!

There's nothing like practicing lyrics by flashlight...

This weekend will be ass busy. I'm here at BC till noon, home by one. I need to do the laundry, clean the bathrooms (omg they're BAD), start packing for Tampa (where's mah swimsuit?!), PRACTICE!!!, and finish the last stitches on Jupiter's fuku. Oh, and make her gloves. I had a complete brain fart about them. I've only had the fabric since, what...April? I put it with the Telma supplies I bought when I was down there last and completely forgot about them. I found a great pattern online so it shouldn't take me long though (I hope).

Yeah, I just remembered how long it took me to make custom elf shoes for Loo-Kee. I think I'll do the gloves first. *sigh*
