First, the good news
Feb. 23rd, 2009 08:26 amI went to get my brakes replaced as well as an oil change this weekend. I set aside some money from my taxes because I knew I'd have to get both the front and rear looked at. I dropped my car off at 7am Saturday morning. At 9am I get a call saying "Why do you want your brakes changed?". I explained that a year ago I went to Firestone for a 'make me feel better' inspection. They tried to tell me that my brakes were so bad that I would die if I tried to drive my car. I knew they were full of crap, so I took it to Geralds (the place I was at on Sat). They said that I had at least another year and that my brakes were fine. Fast Forward to Sat. Apparently my brakes are still awesome. Both the tech and his boss told me that my car was in great condition. He suggested that I get the front struts replaced soon, but everything else was fine. So I just saved money! Woo!!
I told Mom this story while we were out dress shopping for the wedding, so she felt that I needed to up my dress budget. >_< I politely informed her that just because I didn't have to spend money on something doesn't mean I should spend it on something else. *sigh*
( The current #1 choice )
Please forgive my horrid hair and makeup. :( Otherwise I like it. It covers what I want covered and yet it's still pretty. It's also a size smaller than my regular clothing. Yay corsets!
