The Day After Drag

I'm at work. Wee. However because it's so dead it looks like we'll be shutting down early again. Woot! I have gift cards I want to use and sales at the mall. Yay consumerism!

Yesterday was nice. We went to breakfast at Waffle House. The people there know us. In fact the waitress commented "It's not Sunday. Why are you here?". I love that. ^_^ She even knew what we wanted with little help. I've always wanted to be able to go someplace and be known as a regular. Lifelong goal achieved! Anyway, it was delish, and I left Laura a $10 tip for a $16 dollar meal. She's got a 6 year old girl at home and she was working Christmas morning. I felt so bad for her, but she'll probably also clean up on tips. lol!

The rest of the day was as follows:
Opened gifts (I got the Batman:TAS collectors set, Batman Beyond season 3, and a Chibithulu)
Made rum balls for Mom
Went to the parent's house for 'lunch' and presents
Home for an hour
Went to Barry's sister's place at 6pm for dinner and presents
Home by 8pm

I was so tired I forgot my purse at Roxanne's house. Good thing she's only a few minutes from work. >_< We got a lot of gift cards and 'I didn't know what to get you' presents like lotion and books. I think the funniest moment was when we were at Mom's. She's happy that B and I are going to try and diet together. She kept saying 'You two will be so healthy and slim!' and then she'd tell us to eat more sugar-glazed ham. The best part was when we were leaving. I was talking to her about diet tips while she's packing up 1/4 of a cake she made. lol! "You need to lose weight. Here's some cake!" She's so funny.
