I finally broke down and bought Half Life 2: Epidsode One. Total suckkage? My computer's graphics card isn't powerful enough to run it. DAMN!! *cries*

Guess I'll need to upgrade! Wee!!

I went to the optomatrist today. I got an eye check, contacts, and 2 pairs of glasses. I love medical spending plans!! Anyway, I have a test set of contacts that I need to wear all week, as well as one pair of new glasses. Funny story about the glasses though. My old 'Velma' pair was deemed strong enough to last another year or two, so it was going to save me bucks by not needing to buy a second frame. Great! I give them my glasses (since I was wearing the contacts) and was told to come back after 4 to pick them up. I go back and find out the bad news. The guy who told me that my frames were fine had broken them while trying to replace the lenses. Freaking great. The good news is that I was able to pick out ANY FRAME I WANTED TO! For free!! Yay! So instead of having crappy $60 frames for my 'everyday' wear I know have a $200 pair of Calvin Klein's. That so sweet yo! However, I do mourn the loss of my Velma glasses.

Speaking of which, I went to Wally-World to find cheap fabric, shoes, and socks. Nix on the socks (no surprise), and I didn't find the right shoes (plain black instead of red Mary Janes), but I think I scored for the skirt fabric. Now I just have to make the ruddy thing. ^_^
