For some reason, I don't feel right today. I'm not sick, nor do I feel illness coming on. I just don't feel...normal. Of course, anyone who knows me knows that normal doesn't apply to me. I dunno, maybe it's the weather changes. I feel so off though...
A pair of cordoroy pants I ordered are coming in today. Woo!! It's funny though, at the site where I got them, they were all called just 'cords'. What, is saying cordoroy out of style? I can't wait to hear the 'swooshy' noise. ^_^
Rant ahoy!
I've been making X-mas soap for about a week, and I'm soooo pissed off it isn't funny. One mold I've given up on. The details are just too find to do with soap. I'd have to use soap paint (which is a whole 'nother kettle of fish). Anyway, I'm putting that mold away...I have more but...ugh, the snowman one is a pain in the ASS!! It's big, also begs for paint, and uses up so much white I don't dare make more than one or two. I'm also having a problem with making the soap truly black. The best I get is a sickly grey. I'll try the dye with some clear instead of white (which was my mistake) but I'm worried it will still be too clear to look right. *smacks head against desk* Argh!! On the bright side, the dual-colored rubber duck imbeds are looking smart (although I may put the green on the bottom instead of on top next time), and the big snowflakes look so good I don't want to give them up! I might make the soap smaller by only filling it halfway. I don't want to use all my stock up on gifts. I want pretties too! Finally I've decided not to pitch my small leftover batches that I have floating around. I'm making a massive bar of 'fugly soap'. I have so many inserts, scraps, slivers, etc that I'm going to throw everything into my mega loaf mold and pour enough base in to cover everything. Most of it is unscented, so I'll probably pick one of the scents I have a lot of and just dump it in a good portion. It'll be nasty looking, but since it's for me I'm not worried. Must use soap!!!
Gee, it's 10am already. I guess I should get to work...
