Apartment update
Mar. 7th, 2006 09:43 amWell I signed the contracts yesterday. Dang there were a lot. I also got to see the place. I took a camera from work. So of course the batteries ran out of juice after 2 pics. Damnit. It's my own fault though. I should have checked. The place looks kinda crappy, but only because they're refinishing the outside. You should have seen it two weeks ago...I think I'll replace the 'B' on the outside of the door. It looks out of place.

This is quite literally my apartment. No flipping required. ^_^ I'm planning on putting a row of bookcases in that little nitched along the wall of the washer/dryer closet. The couch will be slightly in front of them. It won't be terribly pretty, but we'll have more stuff space that way.
Upstairs will be tight. I doubt we'll be able to fit a bed, entertainment center, a dresser (or two), and a computer upstairs. If we get a different (and smaller) computer desk, and eliminate the dressers completely we might be able to make the bedroom livable. It will get easier once we no longer have a roomie, but I want one for at least a year (or longer). It'll keep the bills friendlier and less stress all around. Besides, I'll be looking to buy within the next 2-3 years, so being cramped now is ok.
We're definatly getting a smaller storage unit. Barry had hopped we wouldn't need one, but there's no getting around it now. He's upset that his games will have to go back into storage, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that doesn't happen. He loves his collection, as I love mine. It's cruel to make us pack our stuff back up again. *le sigh* I need a house...
