Update Ahoy!

Wow, it's been a while. I had a huge rant planned, but I really don't feel like it now. Ah well.

Christmas was nice. Barry had to work a lot though. Stupid screwed up schedule. I did get to see him on X-mas eve and day, so at least I had that. He also gave me Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. That game is freaking HARD!! I keep falling off...

Otherwise Christmas was mellow and pratical. Mom and Dad got me stuff for the apartment (4 months to go), and a few fun things. We pretty much just chilled most of the day, which was nice.

I did go shopping the day after, but I went super-early to avoid the crowds. I even got some sweet parking spots too. ^_^ M&D went out later in the afternoon and said it was total hell.

I ended up buying waaaay too many underthings at Lane Bryant. Damn them and their sales. I also got a nice stack of manga (Host Club 2&3, Petshop of Horrors 8-10, and Dramacon 1). I'm totally gone over Dramacon. It rules!! It's the kind of manga I'd make if I could draw...and write...bah. It really hits home with the main character for me since it's her first con and her bf is being an ass and ignoring her. Been there! Thankfully though I don't blame my bf (he was an otaku first, bf second), and I know how to have fun without tagging along with people. Anyway, I highly reccommend this book. Until about 6 months ago I was a total purist. If it wasn't made in Japan with Japanese people it wasn't a manga. I've since changed my mind; first with Bizenghast (weird, but I like it) and now with Dramacon. The only downside is that it apparently takes FOREVER for new issues to come out. Example: Bizenghast #1 came out 8/05. #2 won't be out till 6/06!! That's almost a year!!! *fumes* Dramacon has been out since October and no sign of a release date for the next volume. However, the author says that she's already deep into vol 3, so maybe I'll see vol 2 sometime before I die...*grumble*

That's really about it...1 1/2 months till Katsu! And no, I haven't started Pepper...hoi...
