About time for an update.

I'm down 12 lbs total. Go me!

We've got our annual Turkey lunch today. I'm allowing myself to cheat because cheating a little is better than me gobbling down the first sweet I see.

I'm spending Turkeyday with Barry and his family. Other than Sherry's wedding this is the first big family thing I've been invited to. I don't really count the wedding since B could have taken anyone to it. After all I was the 'and guest'. T-day is different because Robin (the family matriarch since her mother passed) asked me, to my face, 'It would be great if you could come to dinner on Thanksgiving'. Woot! Family acceptance!! I know Sherry and Robin like me, and those are the important two...well, besides my man. *grin* This means a lot to me. I just hope I don't make an ass of myself.

Nothing much is happening beyond that. Still working. Still moving out in April. Still...alive. ^_^

Remind me again why I listen to my mother?

As most of you know I'm going to Katsucon next year. I refuse to drive since I'll be dead tired and cranky. Anyway, mom suggested waiting for the holiday flight sales. I did and now the prices have jumped from $200 to $300. Great. Just f*$%ing great. I can't afford more than $200ish for the flight. As far as I can tell I have 2 options. 1) Wait it out and check the site every week or so for a better rate. 2) If that doesn't work I go to Priceline and pray. *curses and screams*

Btw, when I spoke to mom on the phone about this she pratically went dumb. For once she realizes that her judgement has cost me. Silly me for believing her. Then again, it isn't her fault. She doesn't dictate airline rates...*sigh* I'm just kicking myself for not booking sooner...

Anyway, I'm still going to Katsu. I'll just be a little further into debt then I'd like. *pout*
