Nice long weekend
Jul. 6th, 2005 08:55 amI'm back to work after having a few days off. Technically it was a 4 day weekend, but I had to work at Lowe's on Saturday. I got a lot done though.
Sunday - Putzed around with Barry till 6 when we went on the dinner cruise Mom bought be for my b-day. It was very nice and a great way to spend time with my man. The only complaints were the company (the other couple at our table were terrible!) and the music was way too loud for dinner. I had to yell to talk to Barry and he was less than a foot away. All in all it was a good evening. We even got to see fireworks on the water!
Monday - Went home around 9am and started cleaning. I overhauled my room (dusting, cleaning, changed sheets, etc), cleaned the bathroom, took a TON of stuff to my storage unit, and did several loads of laundry. I did several dvd burns to clean out some digisubs from my computer. I left the sorting for Tuesday. I also got several steps closer to finishing Dad's scarf, and debated on trashing my beaded bag because I have no use for it and it looks kinda flimsy. I forgot my x-stitch at Barry's which is ok because my hands were hurting by the time I was ready to sit and relax. Watched Queer as Folk season 4 disk 1 and Vanity Fair. Went to bed about 11, which is normal.
Tuesday - Slept on and off till 10am, then went shopping at 11am for Erin's b-day present. Got home at 1pm with a headache from the heat, so I slept more till about 3ish. Murphy stayed on my lap the whole time, which is rare. I guess the heat was too much for him too. When I finally got up I did my ironing, then started my top secret project. It came out ok, but out of the two tests one looks really retarded. Seriously re-re. That's ok, I'll keep it for myself. ^_^ Did the much needed digisub cataloge update. I haven't really done it in months. I didn't realize just how much I had burned to disk more than once. There's a little more to do, but since it was almost midnight I figured I should get to bed. I was wide awake till 1am, but I refused to move because I knew if my brain was active I would stay up all night...
Which brings me to today. Hopefully I'll be able to finish my TS project and start the even more TS project. Plus I might get to see Barry for a little bit tonight. Wee!
