Oh little kitty, won't you come home with me?

I saw something this morning that broke my heart. When I was driving through my neighborhood to get to work I saw a cat in the road. No big deal normally. We have *tons* of cats in Quail Arbor V (that's where I live. duh.) This one was different. He kinda walked a bit then laid down. This is not normal at all. I stop and get out of my car to see what's wrong. Poor little angel was all skin and bones. Aside from a sliced ear he seemed unhurt, so I picked him up and took him home. He didn't meow or stuggle, but he did try to jump out when the car stopped. Didn't quite work since the window was closed. >_< I took him in and got a half-hearted bitching from Mom. We both know she would have done the same. Besides, this is the first time EVER that I've brought a stray home. He attacks the food we leave out for Murphy and ignored us. Mom said I have to put up signs so his owner can find him, but if he's not gone by Monday I have to take him to the ASPCA. Of course there's a better than 75% chance that if he's still there on Monday he's ours. The only time we've ever taken a cat there is when we already had four and couldn't handle another.

Such was my morning. Or is. It's only 9ish right now. *sigh* I wonder what else will happen...
