I had the best time with Barry this weekend. We went to Savanah for Sat/Sun. We stayed in the historic district and walked nearly the whole time. The Riverfront has changed a LOT. It's still nice though.

We got there around 1 (after getting totally lost. stupid mapquest) and we were lucky enough to get into our hotel early. We headed down to the Riverfront and played tourist till about 5, got lunch, then trudged back to the hotel till 7ish, then went back to the 'front to try and get tickets for a trolley ghost-ride but we couldn't find the ticket seller. So we made ourselves feel better by buying carmel apples and thin-fudge/chocolate. *drool* So gooood. Sunday was very mellow. Went to Clary's for brunch. If you're ever in Savanah you HAVE to go there. It's great! We thought about seeing more of the market, but we were both kind of tired so we headed home (got lost again), then chilled at his place for a bit. All in all a really good weekend. I was so happy I even put up with him watching football. ^_^

Let me tell you about the hotel though. It was cool in a unique way. It was 3 blocks from the 'front and about 2 from the market so it was a good location. But it was...strange. First there wasn't a closet. None. Not even a rack to hang things. Second, the bathroom...ok, the toilet seat obviously was a replacement b/c it didn't fit the bowl. There was about a 2 inch lip sticking out from under the seat. Cold on the legs, but better than splashing. The shower was even stranger. There wasn't a tub to speak of. Not even a lip to hold the water in. Just a curtain, fixtures, and drain. Now you might think that sucks, but I loved it! It was like the whole bathroom was a big shower. Anyone who knows me knows I love showers/baths. Third, the door to the room didn't actually close. You could see light from outside even when it was shut tight and locked. When we were coming back Sat night I saw at least 3 doors cracked open. Wild. But I liked it. The a/c and tv worked, and the beds weren't bad.

ATTENTION CHARLESTON ANIME PEOPLES
This next weekend (22-24th) my mom will be out of the house so I'm want to have a showing. Nothing major, but a nice meet-and-greet sort of thing. Who's up for it? We can do it Friday: start about 7ish till we all get tired. Or we can do it on Saturday and start sooner. Let me know which one works. I've got a ton of new tv shows. Plus you need to pick up your free anime stuffies.
