Brain pick

This morning when I was grabbing some stuff I noticed that (once again) a cat knocked down some of my trading figures. This time there were some pieces missing. I didn't have a chance to look for them and I'm not too worried (yet) since I'm sure they're in the box that's just below the shelf. However it made me think about the possibility of not finding the pieces and what I'd do.

A lot of my figures are ancient in anime terms. Most are between 7-10 years old, so finding replacements would extremely expensive, if not impossible. I don't want to just throw them away because a piece is missing. That would be silly.

So what would you do?

I have zero skill when it comes to working with sculpty or similar products. I guess I could commission someone to do it for me, but that would be just as pricey.

Man I hope I find those pieces. :(

I have a Rurouni Kenshin figurine and his feet were always so loose that as soon as you picked him up, his feet would fall off. After several episodes of "now we have to move the shelf out to find his toes again" I just decided to leave the feet off and place them behind him. He can stand just fine without 'em because of them baggy pants. :P

But yeah, I'd probably go the sculpey route. It'd be a major pain, though.

I got lucky and found the hair, but it's still something to work on since I KNOW I will lose something somewhere.
